Gabriel Jesus (Out)

Michael Owen Level Analysis

I wouldn't be selling unless it's silly money.

If we can get him back to something like his first 6 months he's a game changer.

If we sell him we're not going to be bringing in anyone with as high a peak as Jesus. The CF market is weak, particularly for the sort we're after.

Why would people be so down to earth to see Jesus being sold? I know its a big if but he is a vital player for us when fit.

He never scored goals and he never will. If he runs around a lot until his next knee injury I'm happy, he adds to squad dynamics. Don't see much point selling him (for less than £60m). We could probably do with a CF though.

Love the guy, but if a good offer comes in, you take it.

If Saudi are willing to pay 40m+, take the money and run.

And who are we gonna get to replace him for that amount of money (and can bring atleast the same or even more)?

I'd say a loan for Joao Felix would be my bet. Similar player, perhaps not as technically profient and hard working off the ball, but a close enough fit for me.

It would be wise to keep Jesus for at least another season. Right now we don't have a lot of depth upfront and he is the only viable stand in for Saka. He is one of the more experienced players and if he can get back to his previous fitness levels he could be very important this season.

The guy has been a crock for two seasons now. Also our style of play has evolved. He's a ball hog and disrupts our flow.

He's a terrible cf, and has the anticipation of a hedgehog. Never in the right place. That combined with consistently missing easy chances.

Yes he has that ability to provide a moment of brilliance. But it's not often enough. He's been replaced at CF by Havertz, I mean that's pretty damning.

His injury record is a concern hence why I would probably cash in if we were offered £40m+. I really doubt he can stay injury free for a whole season.

I'm afraid the rest of your post is loads of nonsense.

"Terrible CF" - he just can't finish, everything else he is very good to elite. 90% of the things you want your cf to do he is in the top bracket.

"Disrupts our flow" - we played our best free flowing football when Jesus was injury free (have a look at the first half the season before last if you forgot how it looked).

"Damning to be replaced by Havertz" - small sample size but the period Havertz played as a cf for us, by any measure, he would have replaced pretty much any cf in the league.
