Gabriel Jesus: Sweet Baby Jesus

Has there been an attacker that has had his stock fall as quick as him?
I could think of Chamakh, but Gabi Jesus as a starter is not working for a while now.

Perhaps Arteta can be flexible in that when we're winning, only then he can introduce him, hence not risking any dropped points from missed chances, but this would also provide a possible way to have him on the scoresheet as the opposition opens up.

That injury at World Cup has clearly wrecked his physical attributes and seemingly his confidence too.
Auba ? His form fell off the cliff as soon as his contract was signed.

Difficult one, as he still did the business for Barca, but for us, he fell off massively.

Özil same tbh.

He is not insurance for anything. He is not good enough and we have to buy striker in January or we are truly fbcked this season

We were two points away from a title last year against a City side that was better than they are this year. We're fine and he's fine. We probably need an Ødegaard backup if Tets doesnt want to play Ethan.

Welbeck starts (almost) every game, Jesus now just getting occasional starts and minutes here and there.
It is just different.
That's factually accurate but Jesus was never prolific and now he's less physical and all over the place. For example, if you give him the sub minutes Trossard has/had, I doubt he replicates his numbers or even his impact. If he puts up Eddie sub numbers, it wont be enough. It's sad but he looks so out of sorts and near finished for where we are now.

I believe he could have scored a decent amount of goals and not getting this "Welbeck" comparison.

There is no Welbeck comparison. The original question asked was who would score more goals- Welbeck or Jesus. I opted for Welbeck. It's my opinion. You're free to disagree. I can't see where Jesus will score and his best scoring season wasnt great.
Not going to disagree, because I also believe Welbeck will score more goals than Jesus as a starting #9.
There are reasons to affect their numbers, but still, I think Welbeck will score more.

The question I have about this guy is, how is a guy who is so good at football so sh!t at football?

It boggles the mind.

Confidence is a crazy thing.

Mason Mount had 29 G/A contributions three seasons ago and now he can barely kick a ball straight.

Havertz totally lost it and then completely found it again.

Jesus will probably play good football for someone, somewhere again. The problem with totally losing your confidence is that the only way to really get it back is if a manager believes in you and is willing to give you a big run of games (possibly at the expense of team success) to right yourself. And when you play at a top team with margins so fine, off-form players quickly get replaced and don't get the opportunity to get themselves right again.

Havertz got that opportunity at Arsenal as a new signing, and both the team and the player are fortunate for it. Jesus probably won't, unless a huge injury crunch forces it.

Same deal with ESR. He's getting an opportunity to rebuild his career at Fulham that Arsenal just couldn't afford to give him once his game went so badly off the rails here.

Arsenal Quotes

Religiously, it is said that God created man. I am only a guide. I allow others to express what they have in them. I have not created anything. I am a facilitator of what is beautiful in man.
