Gabriel Jesus: Sweet Baby Jesus

Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆
Not confirmed is acl but Jesus look devastated it's definitely a serious knee injury. Minimum he'll be like 3 months out if he lucky and not require surgery.

The bad news for him it his other healthy knee I don't know he'll ever play consistently with tow damaged knees

I know he was really struggling to find his form back with this knee injury I just don't know what the point of him continue playing football because he'll consistently have issues. And it's sad Because he 27 years old

It's his other knee right? So sad for him, he's only 27. Not sure if he gets back from another ACL, if that's the case.

I'd say it's a safe bet to say he isn't coming back, Brazilian Ronaldo struggled to get back and he was one of the biggest talents in the history of the game.
R9's injury was much worse. He ruptured his patellar tendon which is a far bigger injury than the ACL. The rest of his career afterwards was a miracle. Tearing the ACL is tragic for Jesus but he'll play football again for sure, it's nowhere near what R9 had to come back from.

I am obviously sympathetic towards him and I wish him a speedy recovery, but he shouldn't even still be here.

He's been awful, injury prone and inconsistent for ages now. The only time he ever showed his worth was his first half a season here. The club should've cut ties in the summer but instead opted to back him cos they're cheap or out of sentimentality. We're not ruthless enough, Arteta sticks by players who back him as a coach regardless of if they're a detriment to the team or not (him taking up a squad place at his wages is a huge barrier to improvement). Guaranteed if Jesus was as rubbish or as injury prone as he has been here for ages, but he wasn't an Arteta bumchum, we would've gone so far as to cancel his contract and pay him to leave. It's shocking how they pick and choose their favourites regardless of their impact on the team.

Really, really sick of this club right now. They've undone so much good work through some really stupid decisions over the past year or so.

ESPN Brasil did an interview with Jesus the other day and it *seems* like he doesn't take care of himself as much as he should, given his previous and now current injury.

Admitted to not liking doing physio treatment stuff, has had trouble keeping a sleeping schedule, and finally understood he can't eat rice and beans (Brazilian staple) for every meal.

It was really strange, because it was like he said stuff he know he shouldn't have and tried correcting himself, only to admit to stuff further.

link if you want to translate it.

Yeah never a good look to admit to something like that. I really don't understand these guys who have that level of talent and don't nurture it by looking after themselves. Someone like Cristiano should be the example to everyone about how far sheer will and work ethic can take you beyond what you have naturally. Well if his mentality isn't right, he may not come back from it but in general an ACL at this age is not a death sentence for a player at a high level.

Players suffer mentally when they not doing the stuff they used to. Same with Richarlison.

The best solution for Gabi is to back to his home place

At least Jesus and Havertz aren’t scared of planes.

Poor guy has had an absolute nightmare with injuries at Arsenal and I would imagine this probably finishes his career at the club as he'll be out for a year and then only have a year and a bit left in his contract, by the time he returns by which time I EXPECT the club would have replaced him.

When it rains it pours for both player and club. We're down to the bare bones upfront, I don't see how the club cannot sign anyone for the forward line now or at the very least loan someone, unless they are grossly negligent or have already given up on the season.

Would Rashford on loan with a buy option be worth a punt? Struggling to see any viable options for a skint club on the market right now.

Orny said we gonna enter the market seriously now and will buy forward players like Rashford isn't worth it. We don't know who they'll target our club keep these stuff private but it's short window we'll quickly know

I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say his Arsenal career is effectively over.

I mean I was against signing him from the beginning and he has a really annoying face, but I’m sure he’s a nice guy and it’s a shame how his career has panned out. He definitely had potential when he was younger to be an elite forward but that door is firmly shut imo.

Not looking good for him. Get his rehabilitation sorted and actively punt to Saudi.

A player's true character is in how he plays and not in his social life. You can hide your real personality in your social life, You cannot on the field.
