This is why it’s dumb not sticking a shirt in front of him and just announcing it straight away. Social media can just kill everything you’re putting together with one tweet.

Social media engagement is huge now.

Once again, game’s gone.

Camera guy called in sick. Displaying symptoms. Backup camera person still not reinstated since covid layoffs

Probably filming a short in length yet long in cringe vid of the announcement.
Stuart's camera floppy disk also got damaged by heat, therefore this delay.
The announcement vid could have one of those glitch shots bzzz bzzzzz

This player is being hugely underrated, here.

Is he Erling Haaland? No. Is he a very good player who can be elite? Yes. (Remember, this footballer was seen as a huge coup for City when signed, City beat Madrid and Barça out to his signature: we are talking about significant ceiling here still, at age 24)

Comparing him to Harry Kane on FBref makes for interesting reading.

Preferable system and different usage for Jesus are points worth noting which complicate a direct comparison, but Jesus comes out better in basically every category. When we look at just the most obvious and directly relevant to a forward, it's .72 npG+A for Jesus to .61 for Kane and .71 npxG+A to .73 for Kane.

(https://fbref.com/en/players/b400bde0/Raheem-Sterling -- might make for interesting comparisonn, statistically, since City's style is so distinctive statistically to Tottenham's...or Mané : https://fbref.com/en/players/c691bfe2/Sadio-Mane -- in short, we are talking about the creme de la creme of the premier, and he compares very well)

What we know is we have got a complete CF, with a very well-rounded skillset, ideally suited for our system and style of play who will improve both our overall play and overall goal-scoring potential significantly from what we had last season, a player who kept out Sterling, Grealish, and Mahrezs of the world for big parts of the season and was a starter in many of City's, probably the best team in the world, biggest games, and a player who still has some room to grow at his age and ability level.

He is literally the exact type of player a club of our level should be targeting, very much the profile of the kind of signings Liverpool made when building their project under Klopp, talented players, proven at a reasonable level and undervalued by the market for varying reasons, ideal for the system they would be employed in, and being given a chance for protagonism and continuity at their club.

At 24 and £45m, already PL-proven, we should also get good ROI should the club continue its evolution and be able to compete for the next Haaland type talent in years coming.

Get me Jesus on the phone 📲
Pretty sure he's asking to terminate his contract already. Hence the hold up.
Remember reports saying Alexis Sanchez wanted to return to Arsenal after the first week at UTD?

Probs getting same reports soon

Easily the most significant signing made by any club.
You think? Sterling (still a top, top player) and Frenkie de Jong look like they might be that for me.

Maybe in terms of how much of an upgrade he is on what came prior, you could make that argument, though Frenkie would have a big shout there, too.

It would be awesome in only once in your life you could synthetase your long posts. It's ok to write long but not every single post you make. Synthesis is a very rated skill in life.
