Him playing CB doesn't prevent him from being decent at pens. I think Ramos took quite a few in his day. We simply don't know and probably won't ever know why he took that final pen and where I could find criticism for example if a senior player shirked the responsibility of taking a pen and let a kid take one, if it was the case that someone else just didn't feel good about taking one then it's better that they didn't, whatever the outcome. It could also easily have been the case that Gabby pulled rank as one of our leaders and wanted that responsibility. We don't know.

I think Saliba is petrified of taking pens. It may have been the shootout in preseason against Liverpool last season where they made him take one and he walked up there like he was going off to the gallows. He stepped up and made it but they were all laughing and taking the mick out of him so I think there's an anxiety there.

You guys just don't understand. The way he reads the game and intercepts ball in the air, pocket the PSG attackers and time his tackles is just top notch.

When all is said and done he will be an all time great Brazilian defender like Aldair/Lucio mould.
