At times it feels like it feels like he's trying to be the left wing version of Saka and that's just not his skillset.
He's not a player that needs to be cute on the ball. Be direct, run at your FB, knock the ball past him and chase it because few FB's will be able to keep up with him .
Problem is in the PL we face so many low blocks he can be a bit impotent, he has no space to work with.
As it stands I've been very happy with his reaction to losing his starting spot but I do think outside of Europe he's better in that impact sub role.

Ultimately this is a big win win for us.
Martinelli adds quality to our side in the CL and could potentially use this form to propel his confidence in the PL.
Or, he doesn’t improve in the PL and we cash in on him. But the fact he is scoring for fun in the CL is putting him in the shop window for Spanish, Italian, German sides.

How long are we going to keep defending him? Don't get me wrong, he's a useful player to have on the bench, but ffs, he's just awful you have to watch him for more than 20 minutes.

Always passing backward immediately without even keeping the ball like Saka. Such a disaster player. He will be the reason why we may not win this year if Trossard gets injured

He's an impact sub. Playing him against a low block to start a game at nil nil is doing that team a favor. You play him off the bench or in games that you expect the opponent is going to attempt to have some possession.

what the point of him beating his man and miss the target by miles from few feets i honestly don't get him he got the ability but as long he keep doing this BS i don't know how long Arteta gonna keep faith on him.
