The only thing he did wrong was use his hands to attempt to nudge Bradley off the pitch. What's the point of Football if you're not using your legs to reposition the opponent's players as you would the ball itself?

I can totally see Martinelli getting bullied online over this. Probably already happening. Football fans can be truly pathetic.

I imagine this is how Pool supporters are painting the incident.

Unfortunately Bradley is hurt. Hopefully he recovers well.

And this is why what Keane and Neville did yesterday is so disgusting because they've egged it on in spite of both being guilty of far worse in their own careers. Football fans are already dumb enough to make a meal out of this but the media coverage stoking it has been a disgrace. There's also an element of xenophobia present because nobody can tell me they would do this to an English player unless maybe that player was black.

Oh for sure, if it was a United player they'd find all kind of excuses or even blame Bradley.

Also agenda against Arsenal.

Remember when Brighton player brutally kicked Rice down and Rice got red. Or when Jesus got choked and almost fingered in same game...

Always amazes me how eager people are to forget the fact that Keane is guilty of one of the scummiest things the EPL has ever seen, just because he's an "entertaining" pundit.

Agreed. If you played for certain clubs, being a thug during your playing career was fine and being a miserable hypocrite in your punditry career is endearing. It's very odd. Even beyond the Martinelli comments, I saw yesterday he was speaking about the "smell" of Alex Ferguson around United and the level of disrespect on display there was shocking to me.

I want to apologize for my nasty comments on Gary Neville the other day. Stupid to fall in the trap of online abuse but I just could not take him advocating violence on our players on live TV.

Bradley clearly moves further in field. And it’s weird that he decides to look up, put pressure on their legs/knees, and shuffle 20 centimetres despite being injured Unless… they’re tryna make sure he’s not off the pitch.

It’s possible that the guy is injured AND also intends to make sure his team don’t move down to 10 men in the dying passages of the game.

To people saying he was already on the field, yes we see that but I’ve seen players close to the edge do this before. Hes tryna ensure he’s on the pitch properly. He is probably also not 100% aware where his body is. He doesn’t have a birds eye view and replays like us.

So then Martinelli sees this after Liverpool’s time wasting and play acting (especially in the 1st half), and wrongly tries to move the guy because he suspects play acting.

It’s really not that deep if you use your brain. I’m sick of despicable narrative setters like Neville and Keane (ironic) spewing bullshit. And then all the sheep follow.

People need to use a bit of logic ffs and understand that things happen in the heat of the moment, looking over with hindsight where you are watching a replay 50 times and already know he’s injured does not represent the moment as it happened.
