No, it was revenge. He literally high fived Mitoma after he did it. He's a little scumbag and our players are pathetic for not going in and returning the favor. If someone did that with Vieira or Keown on the pitch they would still be in the hospital. This is why teams think they can bully us because we do nothing about it.

Exactly, break his legs and go after him in the summer if something. Arsenal showing nothing of fighting spirit and is one of the reasons Brighton did it 3 in the Emirates.

Martinelli was never competing for the ball. If you play med football you know this tackle is what you call do the opposition.

Pretty much lol. Not sure what the crying is over.

He's not that guy and it's not that team, so he shouldn't go flying into people like that and not expect some retaliation because guys like Saka, Partey, Jorginho, Jesus and Ødegaard are going to pretend they can't see the opposition team kicking lumps out of you and look at the floor instead.

He's been doing that kind of stuff recently (like the patented Kane mid jump tackle) so he's clearly getting bad advice from somebody about sh*thousery as he was not doing this prior to this season.

The whole team has to be in on it, or you end up looking very foolish.
Have you ever actually played football? Who doesn't bother to jump for an aerial challenge? If Mitoma jumps there instead of looking like he's waiting for the money shot in a Brazzers video, then it's shoulder to shoulder in the air and nothing comes of it. The entire thing happens because Mitoma doesn't jump when he should be jumping. Martinelli doesn't have to pull out of a challenge because the other player is too cowardly to commit properly. That's an absolute joke.

I'm not saying you break his legs but you go in there with a full blooded challenge and make sure he has no further part to play. When you send the message that you'll just allow a player to kick your teammate off the pitch and he stays upright the whole match, it's no wonder they feel they can pump you on your own ground.

The most pathetic thing is if it was role reversed and someone did it to our player and xhaka got revenge for him. They would praise him. Martinelli got a good football lesson. Don’t do others when you don’t have to, otherwise you get it back

There are a reason why Martinelli was perhaps the most consistent player in the title fight run and why basically the rest of team bottled it, it is a gap in mentality and in how you see the game. The fans are part of it as well.

You can't get the **** in our own stadium, that is a clear rule. Make it a dog fight, but don't lose 0-3, don't get the **** revenge from anyone in the home, don't concede 2 goals after winning from 2-0 from mid table, don't be so bad against relegations teams. Liverpool tho was something else and there is nothing to worry about Anfield imo).

That's a part of mentality Arsenal has to overcome to maintain some young players in the squad, specially these more ambitious one.

And he had the football lesson, Arsenal wasn't as serious as he expected about it neither are their fans who is asslicking Caicedo now. Anyway, violence feeds violence, Caicedo's karma is also waiting.

We got outplayed and outfootballed by Brighton. You can’t fight your way out of that.

Lool like he would get in any team better than Arsenal with his one dimensional game. Get real

You are bashing your perhaps best player already at age of 21 for a player who is probably will never be as good as him and who maybe very well ends elsewhere to **** Arsenal again. Get real that is the definition of a cuckhold, tiny little *****.

Thats the exactly reason many world class players moved from Arsenal in the past. Small mentality, no terriorialism and no real fight spirit.

We'll buy him instead 😅. Yeah agree but honestly can we do that? Our players get booked easily

Martinelli's foul was imprudent perhaps, but if Mitoma's jump would be a fair play, receiving a tackle from behind from revenge is totally another thing. Arsenal did nothing in a respect and many of the fans think it was deserved. What kind of small mentality is this? In your ****ing stadium, supposed to be at home?
Not surprising the end result if you see the context. I think reaching 90 points independent of the title was something to be proud of.

Stop it. He is not better player than saka or Ødegaard.

That is your opinion dude. I bet many people think the opposite. I think Martinelli was up there with Ødegaard as the best in this season, but a bit more consistently in the title run imo as Ødegaard had some dry games where he was literally helpless in the midfield.

Both started and ended the season better than Saka tho, I think out of bias, the conclusion will be clear in favour of Martinelli and Ødegaard this season, surely Saka fan base is much bigger among Arsenal fans but that is the truth many people want to deny.

Btw, Caicedo's dream was Real Madrid, he will be cheking his options this summer and I'm sure Arsenal cuckhold's mentality will makes him think twice about joining the club, who matters if you are the youngest squad in the division if the young aren't protected and the fans are a bit rubbish who doesn't go behind their own players? Giving the option, he would choose Liverpool imo.

Given the episode, I'm sure that both Caicedo and Martinelli are think twice about Arsenal and their fans and general mentality (even tho Arsenal is bottling up their route to the top and perhaps about to break that small mentality step by step - one can hope).

You stateside burgers should know better than to go around asking this.

Any pro player who was asked about it in the studio that night said Martinelli knew what he was doing, just pretend Kane did it then you will see it was dumb.

Where I reside has nothing to do with my understanding of football, doofus. What's dumb is castigating our player for challenging for the ball and coming off better because his opponent didn't want it as much. If Kane had jumped for a ball and his shoulder went into a player too lazy to leave the ground, I would say that player should have challenged for the ball instead of standing there like an idiot. Objectivity is something I have trouble with. Acting like our player being deliberately injured because of a fair attempt to win the ball is just fine is dumb but maybe you haven't snapped into your slim jim yet and your little brain can't process that.

His cowardly teammates let him be kicked off the pitch, didn't even put a boot in Caicedo and then conceded 3. They don't deserve him. Get well soon Gabi.
I hear you but there's no point injuring someone who might be out starting midfielder in a few weeks

I can’t lie, I would always criticise Harry Kane for backing into someone deliberately whilst they’re in the air and I’d do the same for our players. I remember playing Sunday League a couple years back and a player from the opposing team got a nasty injury from it.

For me it’s such a cowardly move. Look at Kane for example, he knows exactly what he’s doing:

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal is in my blood as well as my heart. I will always, always, always remember you guys. I said I was going to be a Gooner for life and I did not lie because when you are a Gooner, you will always be a Gooner. This club is in my heart and will remain in my heart forever.
