Gabriel Martinelli: Got That Dog In Him

They did play in the CL, but I still agree. Creating those 1v1 situations would be riveting to watch.
He’d also be pretty frustrating in a lot of other areas, like vs parked buses. He’s also a pretty erratic player, and is not well rounded at all.

I’m not a fan of signing Leao personally. He’s top 1% at certain attributes but really poor at others. It might seem intriguing now but once he comes and we see his weaknesses, we may find ourselves being disappointed in his overall benefit added to the side.

Kvaratskelia is a very high IQ player, Williams also. I would prefer these kinda guys. Usually less risky. Leao has 1 goal this season in serie A, scored 9 last season. His personal best is below Martinellis in the PL that’s quite poor. Kavarat regularly bags 10-11+ and adds more to the team too.

This cuts both ways though. Imagine Leao having to help out a makeshift LB under an assault from City with 10 men.

He's currently been dropped and is first attacking sub off the bench due to his lack of defensive contribution, which kinda makes him a non starter here fr.

Out of all the names though he would personally be my pick but it doesn't make much sense.

He basically acts like a CF out of possession. And at arsenal, even the CF is working ass off and helping the team win the ball back.

No point even discussing it now that I think about it, Mikel wouldn’t go for this kind of guy ever, and I don’t blame him if we wanna win things. Leao doesn’t seem proper serious like that, elite mentality wise.

In terms of sheer talent, Leao is about as gifted as it gets but there's something wrong with his mentality. He's not a killer and he's far too hot and cold. He gives me Pepe vibes to be honest and I was in the same boat as you, really wanting him here a couple of years ago.

Everything wrong with Leao is the reason why Saka is supremely underrated and is world class.

The IQ, the ability to really hold the wing area and make it his own, knowing when to delay and wait for others to overlap or take the defender on. Being a good passer crosser finisher and striker of the ball. Basically being well rounded and more than the sum of his parts or ‘fifa stats’ so to speak.

That’s Saka and certainly not Leao. We know what we get with Leao, top 1% 1on1 ability and the ability to do something magical sometimes. Outside of those 2 things he’s actually a poor player.

Yeah no lets not side with J. Depp on that one lol! His UK case was not cleared also which imo says a lot more than that joke of a case in USA.

I followed it a little bit and came away thinking they both deserved to be stoned to death tbh

Either way, Gabi lad wtf are you doing 😭

Just dress up as @Batman next halloween

He's gonna need to put up some numbers before I allow it. I do 100% agree with your take on that trial though. Both insufferable weirdos who should have stayed together to protect everyone else from them.

He’s been fully found out now by teams.

I think he looks slower as well because defenders know what he’s going to do every time (take the ball down the line).

Sterling needs a run of games now.

Arsenal Quotes

Right from his very first match, when Patrick Vieira was as yet unknown to the English public, he showed just how talented he was. No one disputed his ability, and he gave me the credibility and the hold over the club that I needed to take it in the direction I wanted. He and Emmanuel Petit became a duo that would remain forever etched in the memories of Arsenal fans.
