I'd say it's time to consider making an agreement with the player to terminate his contract. His salary is a burden for us and he might restart his career somewhere else. This situation is tragic for both parties

Nah he costs nothing, so it doesnt really make a difference I'd say. If anything we should focus on dropping his wage.

He, alongside Havertz and one of Trossard/Jesus should be rotation forwards from next season onward. They are just not good enough for this slow system we play.

I can't really agree with any of that, players on 180/300k shouldn't be used as rotation options, those contracts are for your key players. Think the wage structure is completely broken at the club, players who carry the team earn less money than these 2, and new players will want more money as well. It's not sustainable at all.

The other reason is that I don't think they are good enough to rotate, you want to see a game changer or someone reliable enough to step in once your first option is out. Havertz doesn't even have a position and Martinelli feels so wrong as a player, for football that we want to play he has no place in the wider squad at all. Our best rotation options are MLS and Nwaneri, both have more than enough quality and can play different positions, and they perform when called. That should be the standard for a squad player, not Havertz or Martinelli

Think the club sometimes needs to accept an L and move on faster

Worst comment of the day and there were many today. Yes let's terminate the contract of a 23 year old worth 55m that is playing in a system that doesn't suit him.

If this boy was African he would repeatedly be called mindless and this forum and twitter would have rallied to get him out the club season or two ago.

Instead he’s on 180k peacefully.

I’m really maybe being stupid but sometime I look at Martinelli and think why not just keep Omari Hutchinson and let him cook his fullback. I know he was poor against us but he has real ability.

Martinelli wasn't the problem yesterday, he was one of our best players yesterday.
Why we always have to play this slow system?
We should change how we play, depending on the opponent.
In general, we should move ball quicker.
I would keep Martinelli, I have posted article from Sky 2 days ago and according to this article, Martinelli is our most profilic goalscorer (followed by Trossard and Saka) in last 3 seasons.
G.Jesus and Havertz are the worst, with negative xg differential.
I would sell Havertz, G. Jesus and Trossard in summer, not Martinelli.

Yousif Arsenal

Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆
Should be demoted as squad player the guy is just Granacho at utd just show some flashes but not consistent and frustrating player overall.

He need to try to cut inside more like in his offside goal yesterday it give us opportunity just try create movement for yourself

Yeah, except for the fact that only Martinelli is a sellable asset (not even 100% because of his salary), and we can't really keep all the deadwood on such high salaries. Sell Martinelli and run other contracts down (not that we have other options on that).

These guys are not your average Nelson or Elneny, humble squadies on reasonable wages, all 4 of them are highly paid players who contribute less than Elneny

I thought Sterling look more intricate and dangerous and more balls to take on players than Martinelli whole match.

Says it all really

You really don’t get much about how contracts work do you?

This cross and hope ball has really limited Nelli in attack, it's clearly a system thing. All he does is get to a certain area in the pitch and cross or try get to the byline and win a corner. Arteta's anti football has made him look alot worse than he is. Imagine him in Liverpool's attack always bombing forwards, just shows how you need to set your system up to the players you have.

When both parties want to terminate it? What did I miss that your expert eye noticed there?

Why would Martinelli want to terminate it??!

What happened with Willian was a genuine one off. Really not sure what you’re expecting to happen here.

He can't pass or shoot so all he would do is mess up more than he does when he gets the ball in acres of space here. Did you see 1v1 he smashed into the post vs Newcastle? Would Arne Slot convert that chance for him? The problem isn't the system. It's that he's not good at football. No system can pass or finish for you.

Arsenal Quotes

In 1997/98 we became English champions as I had set myself three missions to carry out which I felt were essential. One: to have an impact on the result and the team's playing style. Two: to foster the player's individual development. Three: to strengthen the structure of the club and enhance its global influence.
