Gabriel Martinelli: Hamstrung

...and then He woke up sweating !!!
He must be almost back? We need him back asap more because we are 1 more injury from being royally screwed.

Saka hopefully joining up a few weeks later and we ready to go.

Wasn’t there talk of him and Saka being back at the same time, for the Chelsea game?

Can't believe I'm saying this as I have a vendetta against him, but man do we seriously miss him.

You realise he's actually quite decent when he's not involved in the team at all. Still think he's not good enough (as a sure starter), but in hindsight I think he's taken for granted a bit.

He's a great squad option.

He will be very useful on the break in CL games, which are more to end to end than PL.

Got cooked by Heaven on a couple of occasions. I know he’s back from a month out injured but we really need to be moving on from him.

We need quality in the forward positions to take the next step. Which we’ll proceed to never take. Martinelli will be here next season and we’ll be saying the exact same things about him this time next year

We really need to move him on. Ridiculously one dimensional and simple to defend against.

First game back so maybe we shouldn't be too harsh.

But my word, I thought we'd see him chomping at the bit and showing real urgency. Instead it was same old same old.

I don't buy the 'just back from injury so let's reserve judgement' with him. He was great in 22/23 and even then I could argue that he cost us:

Last year he had 10 G/A and was largely disappointing, this year it's more of the same. Chaotic player, can't finish, doesn't do enough for a team that wants to win the title. I'd even go as far as an upgrade on him would be more beneficial to the team than an upgrade to Havertz.

He's only 23, so I would keep him as a squad option and move on from Trossard, but there has to be a signal to him that this isn't going to cut it. Either start performing or you'll be at West Ham in two years.

Has to be the striker against Madrid. His pace alone in such a high intensity and open game will get him several chances.
And then you realize that the Gabriel Martinelli who is terrified of Konate would be going up against Antonio Rudiger looking at him like this:
