I'd be down to sell him over Tross just because he'd get us more money and Tross is a good player off the bench.

Can't fault Gabi's hunger though, and for all his faults, he's useful. Think he'd do much better at a team that counters more frequently or is a lot more direct.

Just not good a build up player.

Mmm, for me Gabi is a lot more useful to us.

The guys we are linked with on the left, Eze and Rodrygo, are more similar to Trossard in style.

Gabi in big games is one of our best players. When the games end to end he’s very good.

He would get us more money though and one of them does have to go.

He’s still a very useful player to have. He’s very good in the big games, there is a place for him here.

Might be a case of needs must though, which would be a shame.
He is for sure , but be honest, we've finished 2nd 3 seasons in a row. He is part of a struggling left side for couple of seasons. Sometimes you need to move on from some of your players to elevate the team. And if the speculations that we need to offload either Nelli/Trossard in order to get the likes of Rodrygo are true, we know what everyone of us will choose.

We probably need a big sale at some point, and it’s very tempting to sell Martinelli who out of all our high value players probably is the most expendable

Selling Martinelli would be madness.

Saka, Rice, Saliba, Gabriel, Ødegaard, Raya and Martinelli are printed on the team sheet every week. The other positions are filled in by Arteta accordingly, depending on the opposition.

Yeh I’ve been hyper critical of Martinelli this season but if we sign Rodrygo and/or Eze, the balance of depth on that left side would be really poor if we sold Marti and kept Trossard.

I was open to selling Marti in the context of signing a Williams or even Barcola. But with these kinda guys I think keeping Marti would be ideal.

If we actually get offered £73m for him though I think you gotta just take that. Thats a load of money for someone who has underperformed for 2 years. I would probably rather sell him and buy a talented speedster like Fofana as backup if it comes to that.
