If I was him, I'd go on a free, but the club also has an option to extend a year which isnt great for us, a free Martinelli should at least be able to command 120k a week with some kind of nice sign on bonus due to no transfer fee.

His £180k is £9.36m a year. He's not going to want to take a reduction in wages. If he leaves on a free he probably picks up £30m signing on fee paid over 4-5 years and a 100k a week wages on top. Probably more given the market, with Garnacho having an obligation to go for £42m and £110k in wages, who is probably most comparable.

By going to Turkey, they can offer him £100k per week tax free, which beats his current contract and means we can get a fee now, which isn't high because he's 1 year on his deal, he's not in high demand and he's going to demand similar take home pay.

All in all if we can sell Martinelli for £40m and reinvest it, whoever we buy for our LW will be essentially £40m cheaper, or £30m cheaper if that's the best we can get. Otherwise he walks for free in a years time.

He's had a few quiet seasons, but he is still a youngster, and a FULL BRAZILLIAN international, trust me if we sell him, we will regret it, and big time.

If they don’t sell him he will have 12 months left on his deal and will lose a lot of leverage next summer. With him having roc nation behind him they will either chose his next club and force the club to make a deal or most likely see his deal out. It’s now or never. Unless they extend him

Yup but I dont' see it happening until Arsenal feel LW is adequately covered. I think the club would rather lose him for free than have one senior LW this season.

hmmmm I do keep forgetting about Eze as a LW option. Just doesn't seem like Arteta likes him there. But it could be what happens I guess.

With how long every transfer takes. It’s already too late to sign LW. Even the CB will be dicey, but think we will just about squeeze one in.

I think Martinelli is perfectly happy to see out his contract and get good money. No one is gonna offer him close to what he gets now + transfer fee

Championship are on 20k a week. Martinelli is on 180k. The clubs buying those players can’t get near his wages
