Id keep him playing in the position hes playing in considering his form and what hes doing, if he bangs in goals for another few months then maybe look at it. Laca's involvement in build up play and ability to hold on to the ball would be missed as well

Nah the game has changed since then. Wingers need to be goalscorers, leave him as a LW, adds goals to the team and makes the most of his movement. Also, he has no problems tracking back all these attacking full backs.
Should keep his place for a while now he joy to watch need to learn to manage his energy for 90 minutes. Happy he back to his pre injury form such a hard working player and finisher.

All valid points. I’m thinking aloud at where we see the side being in 2/3 years with Saka/Øde/ESR developing. I fell like they are your 7-10-11 if they are all fit and Gabi can play number 9.

My boy beating the "can't dribble" allegations. The LW could be the spot for him. I have always likened him to Son and you don't want Son playing with his back to goal. Sign an upgrade on Laca and let Martinelli develop into a goal-scoring winger.

He had a long term injury and I think the team was geared towards Auba so Martinelli suffered the most. Now Auba is out, I think Arteta will trust in Martinelli more.
Agree on that. I'd prefer to keep on the left wing. He's proven he can score goals from there. And his work rate down the flank can be infectious. Totally different dimension as the CF.
So bring in that CF in January!
