Lol. When you cannot defend your point you start insulting people. Thank you very much. Case closed.

Still waiting for the screenshot? You’re the one that started waffling and declined.

I’ve been very clear on this. Martinelli had an opportunity to play in Saka with his very first touch. He would need to have run across the ball and played it in with his left to get the right bend on it so it could reach Saka. The angle of Martinelli’s run made this a bit difficult.

By the time he takes his second touch Udogie has moved level with Saka (as your screenshot shows) but is carrying more pace (which your screenshot doesn’t show).

Once you account for the time it would take for the hypothetical pass to reach Saka (unless you seem to think Martinelli can pass it at relativistic speeds) Udogie would have been able to intercept.

This move went wrong with Martinelli’s first touch. He should either have released Saka with it OR he should have cut across the defender to get a better angle. He did neither. It’s not good football but it’s also not career ending bad like it’s been made out.

Still want to try and embarrass me?

No need. I already explained to you Saka stopped his motion once Martinelli shot. That's when Udogie went in front of him. You conveniently do not comment on this fact.

The % of Udogie intercepting the ball is a lot smaller than Martinelli making the pass. None of us can prove their point here as much as you like to think you are correct.

You already did it to yourself. No need.

You know the ball still has to travel right? And Udogie is in the inside, he's there faster than Saka unless the ball is played 100 prc perfectly. It's not easy mate.

Udogie has moved ball side of Saka in between Martinelli’s second and third touches. The shot was his third touch. You clearly haven’t seen this as well as you think you have. And as has been mentioned many times you’re not thinking about how long the ball would take to travel and where/how the players would have moved in that time.

I’ll say it again. The pass was on. First time. That’s it.

First he didn't pass to Rice. Now he didn't pass to Saka.

If only it was Zinchenko or Partey he didn't pass to, he'd be safe and no uproar. Probably would have received A-M's man of the match depsite missing the shot.

Martinelli never picked his head up much when he was doing well for us either. He's not going to change and you don't need him to, at the top level it's more about emphasising strengths while masking weaknesses rather than bulldozing both to iron out a flaw in his game.

He's never played like Saka and never will, makes about as much sense expecting him to as thinking Saka could develop Martinelli's pace. He's in **** form and playing in front of a destructive midfield even more now that Ødegaard is injured, if he is to get going it won't happen without any support from someone releasing him into space. We've seen him do brilliantly for us when he broke through and then again in 22/23, we're not getting a lot for him now anyway might as well try fix him. Arteta needs to get someone in to help him do it as it's not happening under current staff.

Yawn.

Sorry to beat the drum again ,but I just watched the extended highlights for the Sp**s game. Looking at the alternative camera Martinelli's chance is even worse.

Saka has full control of Udogie behind him throughout the whole phase of play.
The screenshot did not tell the whole story. Any way based on your pic, u can see how quick the central defender comes back from the distance difference between the 2 pic.

The LB (Udogie) already marking Saka all the way and and he is quite rapid.

The window to pass to Saka was very limited maybe within 1sec of his 1st touch. And honestly speaking, seldom I see player can 1st touch pass successfully over longer range.

That pass to Saka wasn't an easy one. Like it has been said Martinelli would have had to excute it almost immediately once he received the ball, it would have needed to have enough pace on it and slightly in front of Saka otherwise Udogie would have intercepted it, it couldn't be too much in front of Saka cos Vicario would have gathered it or too much pace it fizzed past Saka.

He made the right decision to try to go for goal, he just completely messed that up. He needed to cut in more and get a more favourable angle than he did. In the end when he took his shot he was was still too far and quite a bad angle from the goal. I have to say it was worrying to see him mess up in a situation where he normally excels.

Yeah there's no way we'll be able to sell this waste of space on his salary

Lack of composure is crazy, we're gonna need to take him out of the firing line for his own sake because it won't take long before the fans become really sick of him and start turning on him. Will probably be needed against City for his work rate tho.

You know it’s bad when you’re using whoscored ratings to hit back at the haters 😂

At the end of the day, he’ll be measured on productivity particularly in his position and questions will be asked especially when you haven’t scored or assisted in a while. Some were applying that energy to Saka at a point last season, not that I agreed with it as his return and consistency has been fantastic so a little a dip here and there is completely fine.

Who scored rating? This is such an L. I’d say this about any player by the way, you just can’t be using who scored ratings.

I didn’t even realise he had to clap back against anyone though? I thought the fanbase rates him.

Please post the screenshot of where Udogie is when Vicario makes the save.

Then come and talk to me.
It’s a tired debate atp but my pedantic self will say Saka was definitely goal side at some point which means he could have remained there with the right pass.

Need to sell him him when he still has some value. Drop him to super sub role for this season. He'll score enough against **** teams and tired defenses to keep his value decent but next summer we have to sell. Otherwise we'll have an expensive deadwood in our hands
