Gabriel Martinelli: Dogged and Determined

£200k?! Hmm, I don’t think he has enough stock to ask for that much, but he’s on fine form and an important player for us. Let’s hope he repays our faith in him.

Surely not 200k guaranteed?

If it's with incentives then fine, or else not a great deal for us.

So we cut down our wage bill/cleared out our deadwood, and can now hold onto our best and brightest with big, longterm contracts? Who would’ve thunk it.

200k, if true, seems a bit steep. Huge backing from the club though, and sky’s the limit for this kid so happy all around.

Sally and Saka next!

Gabi might have the higher ceiling because Saka’s greatest strength is his maturity/IQ whatever.

If Gabi can get near there with experience then he kind of nullifies Saka’s greatest strength while bringing plenty of his own that Saka doesn’t have.

It’s a big if though, some players never refine their decision making.

Saka's could also improve, and imo Saka has other areas where he can go from good or very good to world class, such as his cut in and shoot tekkers. He scored a very nice goal WC for England in this vein, so hopefully he's already on the way.
