Yeah but Gabby takes it to another level imo. I don’t really want to nitpick though but stuff like taking that chance off of Ceballos or going for that outrageous bicycle kick is something that Gabi and only Gabi would do. It’s part of what makes him though.

Pepe’s poor decision making was hugely exaggerated on here, not so much anymore though.

It seems that you are in romance with that bicycle that Martinelli tried, against Chelsea it was on target and when that shots enters it will become a trend in social media.

This is something that Cristiano Ronaldo do, and more than that, Cristiano tries shots from 35 meters too, and with some frequency. This is in fact something that goalscorers do (they want to score goals) and this is what they need to be stimulated to do. A mistake there costs less than some back pass and losing the ball in the middle of the pitch.

Martinelli today generated 1.63 npxG + xA of Arsenal's total of 2.86 with a good ball retention as well. Imagine so with a "good decision". wow!

Saka had good ball retention skills on his own half today and a good shot off-target from distance, but he wasn't as impactful offensively neither defensively. He slow the play too much as well. But yeah he had good decision generating zero good chances for himself and for the others. Remember Saka played as a forward.

Pepe poor decision showed much more than Martinelli's "bad decisions" today and of course... again... losing way more balls in fewer minutes, not involved at all and being totally useless defensively. His one good action came from a excellent Martinelli cross who he missed.

I think we do need a player that will try the outrageous once in a while. That's why I always saw Martinelli as a less gifted Luiz Suarez. Never saw the Cristiano comparison with him. Suarez had some genius to his play, while also having that South American motor like Tevez and Alexis Sanchez. I will give Martinelli a break cause he is still a teenager, def think he will get better with more opportunities and if he stays healthy.
Agree. He doesn’t need to change who he is, just a few small tweaks/refinements needed.

Mods are unethical! Özil, come assist me please!
Decent assist from white Gervinho after a ton of unproductive fun with Murphy. Should get more gametime in the dead rubbers that come next.

Bad news is when he gets moved to CF he gets truly lost.
Why are you hating a 19 year old?

He scored 10 goals as a Center Forward last season.

Somethibg wrong with you.

You must be an Arteta and Wilian lover.

Good game today. Quality cross for Auba's goal. Nice to see him get a start and an assist. Glad that the tackle from behind didn't cause more problems. Was holding my breath!

Greenwood = Gervinho.

Superb performance, he actually looked a lot more refined in what he was doing and he wasn't giving the ball away as much as he usually does, maybe Arteta might be onto to something with the way he's coaching him. But regardless there's no doubt you'd rather see him play whether that's a starter or as an impact player off the bench.
