Absolutely loved watching this dead eyed Brazilian psycho destroy everything in his path today. More of the same please!

Sane one looks a harsh one to give a yellow, if he meant it then it's well disguised.

He had the type of performance that we usual have to deal with from Wanyama etc.

yeah i agree, just mean that some officials will penalise those - the Silva one was worse i think - still we do need someone who can be a bit physical, it's really been missing since Coq lost the plot

Loved his reaction at the final whistle. You cannot hate on a guy who shows so much passion for the team.

When he got a run in last year and today he was absolutely fantastic. I love his passion for the game, we need more passion in this team and i think he and xhaka have that in abundance.

I will leave this here, he absolutely followed good ol Pacino yesterday.

Gareth Parker on the Footballistically Arsenal podcast said that the club need more players who lack intelligence, so they can just battle and not worry too much. Gabriel could certainly help with that. I've always had a soft spot for Gabriel who has never yet had a consistent enough run of games in his best position to really show what he can do. Also, with back up centre backs, you don't need to expect too much. Just having proper cover there is an improvement on the season when Koscielny, Mertesacker and Chambers were the only CBs at the club. His lack of ability to learn English might be a cultural thing that we don't understand.

If you move to any country, you learn the language. He can afford the best Portuguese to English teacher in London.

Not everyone adapts at the same speed. Plenty of players from Europe have taken time to adapt. Some players never settle. Gabriel has a lot to deal with in terms of getting used to his new environment while adapting to football at a new club. No doubt he will learn better English than he has done so far in time, but the priority is to keep all of his plates spinning. It is well known that Arsenal have groups within the squad (Spanish speaking, German speaking, English speaking), and that culture will not be helping the pace at which he learns the language overall. He didn't get signed to be a linguist, he came to play football.
