Bad news in our #9 search. We were also looking at Will Wright from Salford so maybe we pivot to him but 9 is still a somewhat weak area for us.

@MutableEarth who is this young keeper Ranson who has already played for the U21? Makes the links to Chelsea keeper weird
Khari Ranson. Great with his feet, questionable handling at times but he's got good reflexes. Big fan but he's been usurped by Jack Porter largely.

Will be interesting to see how he adapts to first team football. He's a massive talent, but I don't think he's physically ready just yet. Sometimes I feel like he's got that little edge/pace to reach certain balls after a couple of heavy touches, but I'm not sure if he'll get that little edge over more physically able players that are at peak fitness compared to 15-18 year olds.

Yeah he won't have any physical edge over the first team players. If he's part of the squad he needs to just be around it to see how they do things, maybe getting a few minutes here and there at the end of games.

Looking forward to seeing how he looks in preseason. If he performs then hopefully he'll get his debut before he's 16 :)

Looks like the recruitment and overhaul of the youth is being done at schoolboy level. Get them young, hungry, and mould them earlier. Lot's of U18 regulars may get promoted to feature regularly for the U21's next season. We're being linked with a lot of 15/16 years olds lately.

We're gonna lose a few midfielders from the U21's this summer so we need to replace them so we will most likely promote from the U18's and use him in the youth team if we manage to get him. He's very highly rated in the league of Ireland and plays in their senior team already.

The U17's Euro is on with England playing Belgium. Dowman looks head and shoulders above the rest. He is soooo agile when he is running with the ball that he can quickly unbalance anyone he is up against.

Yeah looking strong. Needs the ball more but this is a super talented England side so everyone has their own hype to farm. Rio Nguhoma has been as impressive as I expected him to be. I would have loved for us to sign him. Hopefully Brando can reach that level 🙏🏾
