Yamal plays for the national team of Spain and he's just a few months older than Chido. Nwaneri and MLS probably won't even make their debut this season. Rather Arteta will try Havertz, Vieira and ESR for the 12020340th time in midfield. Same with Eddie for the striker position.
He's already signed scholarships and has a pro deal lined up. Per wasn't ****ing around with this one.His people would be wise to move him on in a years time to a more academy friendly club
Chido needs to play U18/21 football first. He's only had a handful of games and I wouldn't consider him an option for anything first team related for now unless he comes in and immediately starts dominating. He has a hattrick under his belt already for the u18s so that's a start.Yamal plays for the national team of Spain and he's just a few months older than Chido. It's the first time I've seen a striker this lethal since Afobe at this level and even he wasn't scoring 10 in a game at u16 level. We need to find out more about him before we make any concrete judgements but he's certainly very promising, in the same league as Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly currently.Chido Obi-Martin scored 10 goals for Arsenal U16s against Liverpool U16s in a 14-3 win
I know it's under 16 but this boy looks like in a whole different dimension from talents we had before at that age
If I was his representative I would not sign that deal. He's already signed scholarships and has a pro deal lined up. Per wasn't ****ing around with this one.
Technically he already has. The pro deal is a condition of the scholarship, they usually include it for the top talents. Both Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri had/have guaranteed pro contracts attached to their scholarship deals. If I was his representative I would not sign that deal.
Isn’t the pro deal 3 years max? So by the time all these guys are 19 they can leave for free?Technically he already has. It is a worry given Artetas reluctance to use them but they've already practically signed.
Indeed his finishing was so classy be it Under 16 or not and that composure in front of goal is something gifted and not trained.Chido needs to play U18/21 football first. I hear you on Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly but we need to be careful not to completely rush them.

Could be one of those guys who abuses physical superiority at the youth level and does nothing once promoted. Don't see anything else in his game other than that.I get more Ibra/Isak in terms of style but he does score a ton of goals like Haaland. Need to see how quickly he acclimatises to a higher level as he'll soon be getting U18/21 minutes.
Youth football is hard to judge. You can have two players same age and one be better at youth and the other one take more to senior football. Physicality and 1v1 ability play big part in youth footballCould be one of those guys who abuses physical superiority at the youth level and does nothing once promoted. Max Dowman though, that's a baller right there, you can tell from early days
He's got clear physical advantages for sure, that makes it difficult to gauge how well he progresses. He's already played u21 football. He'll debut earlier than predicted IMO then we'll have a better understanding.Could be one of those guys who abuses physical superiority at the youth level and does nothing once promoted. I think we all need to hold our horses on being too quick to judge. Chido is not the first player to be that tall at his age but not all of them score goals like him. Sometimes those who mature physically faster are pushed up faster and play men's football early enough that helps them build other facets of their game earlier to adapt to men's football while the lesser physical talents have to wait until 19/20 and sometimes they never catch up. I can name multiple players in this category .We are forgetting even Saka had physical advantages hence why some coaches were skeptical of him but it was what has kept him at the top level as he adapted his game while the likes of Nelson have struggled ..Sometimes it's vice versa. Let's give Obi a chance. He was wanted by Chelsea and Sp**s when he joined us and has always played one or two years above his age group and maintained his goal scoring.Could be one of those guys who abuses physical superiority at the youth level and does nothing once promoted. Didn’t follow it closely but Nwaneri wasn’t even a starter in the U17 for England? Do you know why’s that? Would indicate that he’s not at all progressing as expected even though at this age progression is far from linearNwaneri and Lewis-Skelly coming back early after England got knocked out of the U17 WC by Uzbekistan.
Not gonna lie, thought they both had poor tournaments - not helped by the lack of balance set by Hale Ends own Ryan Garry. Joel Ndala came out of that tournament as the biggest star in the team. Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly will have far better tournaments than this one and will no doubt improve shortly.
He's still considered one of the better players in that squad but due to the ambiguity of what his actual position is, they've played him in this sort of RW role for most of the tournament. Most people who watch Nwaneri will observe that he's a central player. Arsenal are happy to play him CM or false 9 with no issues, but England are struggling to shoehorn him out wide.Didn’t follow it closely but Nwaneri wasn’t even a starter in the U17 for England?
