In case you didnt see it, we now have the A-M Predictor tuned in and ready for the World Cup.

Will not tag the members yet, but it should be an interesting one with a whole load of unpredictable results and probably plenty of goals scored.
Will you reset the leaderboard for the World Cup? Because I stopped making predictions for the Premier League weeks ago. 😂

i rather watch arteta haram ball than watch a lot useless world cup match like that every day
In previous World Cups there was some appeal in seeing some of the more obscure/exotic teams/players you're not used to see.

But this time there are so many of them that it'll probably water down the entire competition.

Of course. The World Cup edition is considered as a new season, so the Leaderboard resets back at zero.

There is a selection menu on the top right side of leaderboard, but the direct links are also here.

Steps

It's Not Done
Once the games start I'll probably feel differently.

One thing that is annoying living here is all the people at my work who suddenly are into soccer for two months every four years and are like "you must be so excited!" and want to ask me about all the teams etc, because they know I'm into the sport. Like, don't know much about the national teams across the globe, I just follow Arsenal lol. I can tell them about our players and how tired they probably but I dont' think they're interested in that conversation. So I just say France looks strong again.
Absolutely feel this on a spiritual level.

On top of this, a small change is that the points earned for World Cup are a bit changed, this is to account for the unpredictability of the results in such competitions.

As you see, there is also a point for a wrong prediction, this is a symbolic point to acknowledge the effort.

There will also be a possibility of defaulting to a 0-0 score, in case you forget to predict in time. So you may get lucky when England draws 0-0 to Panama or Ghana.

Won't be watching much because of US.

I absolutely love the World Cup: it's pretty much my favourite thing. When I think of different stages of my life I use World Cups to remember that point in time. And even as the standard of international football has dropped below top-level club football, I've continued to cherish it because at least the playing field is a bit fairer. But I just don't see how I can get any more pleasure out of the criminal Trump distracting, and profiting, from his destruction of democracy in collaboration with the FIFA crime family than I would've taken from the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Just damn them all to hell.

I have to say I'm a little depressed that no influential British football fandom has floated the idea of boycotting the whole thing. Not your grifter-streamers like Goldbridge, but figures of the arseblog type. If, say, Liverpool fans had gotten a 'Boycott the WC' bandwagon rolling, one could imagine other fanbases, including ours, not wanting to be left behind, and the idea snowballing. In reality, most people would've ended up getting sucked in ('I'm boycotting the World Cup, but come on, we're in the semis!') - and that might well be me - but at least there would've been the ghost of a template for refusing to consume Trumpian product in the air, and maybe some disappointing viewing figures. Tourism to the US has dropped by 5.5% in 2025 - an $8bn loss from 2024. But there's been nothing but crickets about switching off the WC. Argentina 78, Russia, Qatar...none of these had anything like the rationale for, or the potential effectiveness of, a fan embargo of the TrumpCup - and it feels like a rare opportunity to isolate these **** has been thrown away.

So - with all due respect to albakos's enjoyable-looking interactive games - is there anyone else who feels the same?

Arsenal Quotes

When I arrive at the gates of Heaven the Good Lord will ask "What did you do in your life?"
I will respond "I tried to win football matches."
He will say: "Are you certain that's all?"
"Well, that's the story of my life. It is not easy to win football matches, you know."
