Me too.
I will always remember match against Watford in September 2019. when we conceded 31 shot.
And Xhaka (then captain) said after match that they were scared.
Of Watford of all teams.

Happy times that many on this forum still appreciate (according to their posts)

I don’t get why Xhaka got much heat for this. He came out and was honest when reflecting about the team’s performance. We did play like we were scared that day. It was a terrible performance. What did people prefer to hear? Those times it was bash Xhaka for anything he says or does. I remember he got hate for “ducking” from a shot when in actual fact he tried to head it but a deflection took it away.

If he has actually said that and it's not misquoted, I hope he gets booed v Leverkusen next week.

No need for that from Xhaka.

Why boo him for speaking the truth?

As I said, no reason for him to have a dig like that (if he's not been misquoted)

If he left us in January 2020 like he wanted after boo gate, he would be in the right to have a dig...but after mending all his bridges with the club, winning another FA cup here and becoming very well liked by the fans in his last season here...I expect a bit more from him.

Best thing about Xhaka is that he doesn't play for Arsenal anymore. Speaks like my ex.. "I feel so much better now".. Even she gave me nothing but a herpes..

Who cares what he thinks really? He's entitled to his own opinion anyway.

He turned my opinions around on him so I quite like him now but he was poor to average for the vast majority of his career at Arsenal.

If Henry or Bergkamp talked us down, that would hurt but c'mon it's Xhaka, he's barely a footnote in our modern history.

I'm glad he's doing well at Leverkusen anyway.

Really hard to really like any Arsenal players that haven't played at Highbury, or are our academy grads as most of them turn out to be ****s or idiots... it's pretty much just Cazorla and Sagma now for me 😅

God I hate the Emirates era ffs!

Why we let this guy go but still have Partey in 2024 hurts my soul.

Perfect 6 for our team but AM got him gone at least. If we kept him we win last year.
Xhaka at 6? What are you smoking ffs? This guy is so overrated by many on here, il never know why.

From his perspective it’s about him and Leverkusen, not about Arsenal. He’s speaking to a German paper his intention’s not going to be to take a dig at Arsenal, he’s just bigging up Leverkusen.
He spent time from his winter holidays last season going over and supporting Arsenal.

The feeling is mutual. If we binned off this clown when it became evident he couldn't pass without taking an hour on the ball we might have qualified for the CL earlier.

Arsenal Quotes

Ian Wright was the incredible striker for whom those around him sometimes found hard to control especially the opponents. He was an extrovert, hyperactive, and had endured an extremely hard life. His playing style was instinctive, and he had that killer instinct, a player like no other.
