Xhaka needs to learn to let it go he seems very bitter he keeps going on and on.

Bitter about what? He won the league unbeaten and a double. He is happy. And when he speaks about Arsenal he is always very supportive and wishes them well.

Why we let this guy go but still have Partey in 2024 hurts my soul.

Perfect 6 for our team but AM got him gone at least. If we kept him we win last year.
I saw him playing 6 from 2016 to 2022 and he was mostly crap, exposed, walking red card.
1 good season (2022/23) will not change that.

Regarding winning, I remember what he did at Anfield in 2023, when he started stupid fight with TAA.
After this, everything fell of the cliff.

In regards to his individual career he didn’t lie. It’s not a step up in size of club sure, but in terms of accolades and his role in the starting 11 - yeah it’s a huge step up.

Arsenal weren’t exactly whispering about the focus on youth. Plus, Xhaka had to play a role (advanced 8) that he wasn’t necessarily equipped for but he was professional about it.

Xhaka can't be a 6 in England, he has to be an 8 (which he is very good at, tbf)

I have also changed my mind on Rice-Xhaka winning us a league, they wouldn't suit Arteta's system as both pretty much need to play higher up...Mikel won't change what he wants from the 6 to get the best out of Rice's style.

Both German trophies look stupid as fu3k...

...it's just a even worse looking Community Shield and something that looks like Indiana Jones would be trying to collect it ffs.

FA cup trophy well clear!

I’m not crazy about them aesthetically neither. Domestic double unbeaten in a top 5 league is undoubtedly better than 2nd in the prem and a pat on the back though.

If it wasn’t for this Xhaka would just be a guy who used to play for Arsenal once lol. Like Walcott or something.

Can’t disagree more. 6 is his best position. His last season at Arsenal is the only period in his career where he played as an 8, he was uncomfortable.

His last season (and the one before that too, tbf) was his only real good season here for Arsenal, and that was when Partey was the 6.

If you judged Xhaka as a 6 in England, he was crap in 5 different seasons for 3 different managers ffs

Bar when we played a back 5 like in the two cup wins, but playing infront of a back 4 with more defensive responsibility is the true test for me.

He said it himself that he wasn’t crazy about playing further up 🤷‍♂️

Plus, he’s looked good at preferred position for new club and country. We should probably take his word for it.

He was never bad, he was good for most of his time here. You forget the team he was playing in. The likes of Mustafi, Bellerin, Holding and Lacazette etc around him. Anyone would look bad. He plays as a 6 in a good team and he shines.

Just because he sees his move to Leverkusen as a step up doesn’t mean he doesn’t like Arsenal. He recently said he talks with Cuesta every day and is in regular contact with the players.

He was probably hitting back at those who said it was a complete backward step and the two step forwards comment is in response to the fact he won two trophies. Obviously, and I can't believe it needs to be stated but this is A-M, he wasn't having a pop at Arsenal, the manager, the team or the fans (who'd deserve it tbh).

They do look ugly. It's true.

The only trophy in European football that I can think of right now that looks worse is the Serie A trophy.

Don't know why both things can't be true.

He prefers playing deeper, but his best period here was further up the pitch. Over three managers tried to fit him in deep positions and he got exposed in all of them.

Arsenal Quotes

"Arsenal come streaming forward now in surely what will be their last attack.

A good ball by Dixon, finding Smith for Thomas, charging through the midfield... It's up for grabs now! Thomas! Right at the end!

What an unbelievable climax to the League season"

Brian Moore on the Thomas' winning goal at Anfield in 1989
