Quietly done his job, great covering and making sure Moura and Son werent cutting in alongside with Partey... then somehow ended up pressing Loris 🤔 never know what hes gonna give you.The midfield looked a lot steadier with him in it and he does make a good partner for Partey, could we get a better partner for Partey definitely but he had a good game today.

Had a phenomenal game overall with just a couple of Xhaka moments. Hope the injury is not serious.

But totally waiting for all his fanboys to come out of the woods after a long period of hibernation to claim he is a great player. We have seen it for five seasons. We know the drill.

our football revolves around him, we look like a team with Xhaka on the pitch.
Wheater you like him or not, he probably still is our most important player.

Looked a bit decent today bar a couple of trademark moments!

Tried desperately to f*ck us up. Went in two footed at the edge of the box again. Awful challenges throughout. He just doesn't care and will cost us again

We can do better and our football will improve when we dip into the transfer market for a top quality CM. But right now he is our best midfielder outside of Partey. Period. Lokonga talented and he will get there but he's not ready yet to replace Xhaka, doesnt think fast enough yet and is no were near as good with his positioning. Dont even try and mention the likes of Niles and Elneny...Also the 433 aint it against any decent side.

Until we get a quality replacement, he plays next to Partey end of.

Always good in big games but the disadvantages of playing him and Partey will show in the smaller games. It’s not progressive enough.
