Di Marzio saying in his article, that Roma has to make some sells until they will make a new offer for Xhaka (if the translator translated it correctly).
"The name that tops the Special One's wish list for the midfield is Granit Xhaka, a Swiss player owned by Arsenal. Roma already have an agreement with the player, but after the purchase of Viña, the Giallorossi club needs to register some exits before they can present an offer adequate to the requests of Arsenal and give Mourinho the desired purchase for his midfield."

Good news is there's no indication of Mouinho looking elsewhere, and I don't think there ever has been.

Seeing a conspiracy theory online that Mourinho is dragging his feet here because he knows Xhaka only wants to join Roma, and if the later the deal gets done the less time Arteta has to sign a replacement.

Screwed us like this on the Demba Ba deal in 2013, the greasy ****.

A manager like Mourinho wouldnt want to drop a single point because his team isnt ready, he mightnt be fond of Arsenal but I cant see him risk losing a match either to get annoy us.

It's 2021 Serie A, tbf.

Jose himself could probably play DM for a Top Four team over in that league...he is in no rush to sign Xhaka, he holds all the cards here sadly.

Maybe - they did finish 7th and 29 points behind first in the season just gone, I feel given his personality he would take the stronger start over to fk us over.

We wouldn’t make top 4 in seria a ffs. I swear some people have no clue the state of seria a nowadays. It’s more attacking and and has more average goals per game

Serie a is more competitive there a reason why Italy won euros the league is more fun now the problem apart from juve everyone is broke and not paying over 20m for transfers.

This xhaka transfer becoming really frustrating and it costing us time to get replacement as early as possible.

Wonder if Xhaka will do the Kos reveal when he signs for them, and rip of his Arsenal shirt showing a Roma one...reckon Granit might go one step further, and stamp on our jersey too.

Unless he doesn't see it as a risk because Xhaka isn't that important?
Hard to know whats going on but generally he will pick at least a single player in a transfer window he really wants to add and that will be that. The sounds around Roma seem to suggest Mourinho is pushing for it and the club hierarchy dont want to pay that much.

Still don't think the league is a great standard overall, don't think their teams managed much in either of the European competitions.

Absolutely none. In addition to that there's clearly a relationship there with tons of indicators. FFS you don't even have to go a day back:

The one that seemingly drags this along is Pinto more than anyone.

Serie A has been quality and competition wise very strong in the last 2-3 years. What do you mean?
