Arséne Wenger: "I will miss you"

Fantastic news he's out for 8 weeks although knowing him he'll be back in 2. **** this cvnt and hopefully we'll see AMN and Sambu step up and bench him for the rest of his Arsenal career

He’s a rubbish player who has no business being at Arsenal. If he never played for us again it would still be 4 years too late. I don’t wish ill on him but I don’t want to see him play for us again because he’s a crap player who has let the club down time and again and will never turn up when we are struggling. Building up Lokonga and AMN in those positions gives more short and long term benefits to the club rather than wasting more time on Switzerland’s answer to Charlie Adam.

Stoke for 4m next window please.

The stars are aligning well for Arteta if xhaka is injured for months.

Just found out he’s injured. That’s awful. He should take his time coming back. Take a year off or so. Don’t want to risk further injury before his big move to Stoke for 4m.

I am sure Xhaka will recover from this injury and come back straight into the starting XI. It's what Arteta prefers 🤷‍♂️
But lucky for him he can rest rent-free in the heads of members like 👆 by the time he recovers

Literally everytime Xhaka and Partey play we perform well, yet people dont want to see Xhaka

Xhaka's passing range and positioning is very underrated on this forum. We arent going to get as much control in games without him. We'll see how Lokonga plays. he might develop into the role but right now he seems a bit weak and needs time to bed into the premier league.

What happens if either Partey/Lokonga get injuried too? it could happen next game! Yet you people are happy? ******

Didn't they start together a lot last season? We performed well enough to finish without Europe last season.
Xhaka's passing range is overrated by his fans. He needs acres of space to use his passing range, which is hardly available in PL.

People are having a hard time grasping the fact that Xhaka for all his faults, is still our second best midfielder and his loss hurts us.
We did win matches without him just recently. Agree that the opponents weren't that great. Same can be said for the way Sp**s played against us too. A fit Partey improves our midfield to a huge extent, with or without Xhaka. As a team that is hopefully having higher ambition and has publicly stated that we are going to be youth first, this is the apt time to try Lokonga and AMN there or buy a new starting midfielder in January. At some point, Torreira was the second midfielder we had. Doesn't mean he was good.

Do you have stats for matches when Xhaka-Partey started together, cause Xhaka looked like the better player whenever that pairing played together, but it wasn't too many times. From my memory Partey was injured for half the season and Xhaka was out on red card/playing as a left back for a large part as well.

It is never good having players injured and less options and competition for places whoever they are.

Timing wise though this is probably about as good as it could be.

It will give Lokonga and AMN plenty of minutes and Xhaka should return fresh and have enough time to build up match fitness before Partey and Elneny go to AFCON.

Imagine how disastrous it would have been if Xhaka got this injury a couple of weeks before AFCON.

Back just in time for AFCON. Hopefully Lokonga gets a good consistent run between now and then.

Lost a sausage bet on Xhaka 😭
Some people must have the memory of a goldfish to think he offers anything serious to this team. Time and time again we’ve been let down by him yet people still think they can rely on him. He’s the footballing equivalent of a fried mars bar that has been clogging up the arteries of this team for far too long. Sambi “the Stent” Lokonga will clear those arteries for good there is very little that this fraud can do better than the young man.

He might hit the occasional Hollywood pass or shot but guess which other average footballer was doing that for Liverpool 10 years ago? And just like Charlie Adam did to Liverpool, the Swiss versions arrival heralded the beginning of our downfall.

Wallahi this club will not rise again until the demons of the past have been expunged and this man has to go for my club to return to where it belongs. There will be no peace until then.

He out for 3 months. But no surgery needed so he might back earlier than expected still it's big miss and will need Partey to stay fit majority of this period

We'd be throwing Sambi in the deep end, but at least he'll be ready when Partey goes to the AFCON. A Sambi-Partey CM is quite exciting tbh.

We REALLY need Partey to stay fit though. Solid three months of football with no niggly injuries for once please.

Its the partnership to go forward but risky Partey will need to stay fit and sambi has to preform very well because our backups are not really inspiring Elneny we know him and Niles will still learning this position either way getting good midfielder in January is a must now

Honestly the audacity of this fanbase. Have a meltdown everytime Xhaka is in the line up and now have a meltdown when he is injured. What a bunch.

I think Arteta will keep going with Partey-Ødegaard it's interesting partnership and make us more better going forward but do put high pressure on Partey doing the all midfield job because Ødegaard will mostly play more advanced and not help the defense much.
