@The Ducking Duck Are Sweden making it out of this group?
I had them as my dark horse the two previous World Cups. They always look good, but there seems to be missing something to really challenge the big teams.Really hoping Japan have nice world cup they got chance against Sweden or Holland. They want to reach late rounds.
Our friend Tomi is in squad by the way

Why is Mitoma not in the squad? Is he injured?
Yeah like rex said hammy injury big blow for them but they are a unit going to manageI had them as my dark horse the two previous World Cups. They always look good, but there seems to be missing something to really challenge the big teams.

What they are missing is a world class player like Haaland, Mbappe etc. All great team players, but nobody really stands out.I had them as my dark horse the two previous World Cups. They always look good, but there seems to be missing something to really challenge the big teams.

And our world class 6Koeman called up Depay and Weghorst again.
You should fear us.
Mitoma absence hurts their offense bad I thinkReally hoping Japan have nice world cup they got chance against Sweden or Holland. They want to reach late rounds.

Japan play as unit they dont depend on one player that thier strength also thier head coach is experienced been with them for awhile now. They can surprised few peopleMitoma absence hurts their offense bad I think
Kubo, Ito and Doan are all piled up on the right, while their left simply isn't that good enough to share the attacking burden
Ueda as their main striker is doing well in Feyenoord but his goal compilation is literally scrapping on shot rebounds. Definitely won't be getting those chances against Elite defenders.
they might not make it out of group stage if they lose to Netherlands cause Gyokeres gonna tear them a new one (unless Tomi is back at his best)
Are you a powerhouse if the best you've ever done in the last like 30 years is round of 16?. 0 Improvements since 2002?(in terms of results)Japan is the prime example how to develop into a international football powerhouse. Have a long term plan and stick to it.
I remember back in the days that Japan only had hard working runners who was out of gas after 30 minutes of play. No tactic and only run like your life depends on it.
I didn’t say they already are, but they definitely have the blueprint to become one. Just look at how many Japanese players are now active in Europe compared to 10 years ago.Are you a powerhouse if the best you've ever done in the last like 30 years is round of 16?. 0 Improvements since 2002?(in terms of results)![]()
I mean I agree with you that they seem to be doing is good!I didn’t say they already are, but they definitely have the blueprint to become one. Just look at how many Japanese players are now active in Europe compared to 10 years ago.
The players currently playing in Europe will eventually bring that experience and knowledge back to Japan, which will help further develop the next generation of youngsters.
