It's gonna be mid table for us as long as this guy is a starter. Some of the stuff was unreal, can't believe a PL player can be so dumb. How can a team get any fluency while this guy messes up every time he touches the ball. Add Xhaka to that and there's no way we can have a fluid game on the ball

Never seems to get called for it, but this guy does a foul throw every time he takes one I reckon!
I'm not a fan of the whole inverted fullback thing, and if there is one fullback in the PL you don't want in that role, it's Bellerin. Arteta needs to ditch this immediately.

He's a lot slower than he used to be, could see that when he had a break away first half he cut inside rather than take his man on.
Having said that with no Tierney might have been an idea to make Bellerin the attacking full back tonight and more licence to get forward with AMN playing the inverted role on the opposite side. Possibly would have gave Saka more space to work with as well.

He's useless in the build up, struggles to put together 1-2 kept misplacing crosses.
Now that he's lost his pace he literally has no standout attribute going forward. He's the footballing equivalent of tofu. Despite all his sauce off the field he's bland on it.

Yeah, you really noticed it on that recovery run he had to make when Palace broke once. Like he was running with a parachute behind him.

Very good today against Eze and Zaha.
What with him cutting inside when attacking is mikel telling to do this BS again because it's Just with Bellerin he not always good with passing he lost it to many times and lead to palace counters. Arteta need to keep it simple with our fullbacks

Yeah I think he’s a decent 7/10 RB if he just plays like a basic RB who focuses more on defending than attacking.
Having him on the ball doing midfielder stuff just isn’t him, it’s never been him and that’s fine.

Inverted full-backs provide the defensive security in transitions that frees up the wide players to take more risks in attack, it also provides an additional player to support the build-up. Cancelo is the best in the league. Think Bellerín is ok for this role but could also be improved on.
He's getting a lot of flak lately but was actually ok tonight. Made a crucial block after Tomkins' header and stopped Ayew on a dangerous late counter. A few misplaced passes killing some decent build-up sticks easier in the memory.
I actually think the bigger problem in our attack is that our front four lack any sort of real connection/interplay. It puts an onus on the full-backs to create, which Tierney has done admirably but it isn't really sustainable.

All over the place positionally as usual in the first half with Eze finding it very easy to go past him on few occasions he wasn't caught out of position.
Bellerin was better defensively in the second half making two important blocks after he stole a sitter of chance away from Laca. Bellerin passing in the second half though was very sloppy and killes off a lot our attacking movments.

He was so poor in the opponents half yesterday. He kept disrupting our passing, just awkwardly missing a pass or blocking a cross to Laca. He didn’t make mistake in his own half but I really didn’t like him yday.
