Aye, he is gone. He seems very happy at Betis. Good for him, and for Arsenal too. It has worked out well for both parties.

He is very complimentary in that interview.

You ever been to Seville? Beautiful part of the world down there.

Cadiz is great as well. Always feel playing in destination places must be nice for a footballer and do as well as Betis have been this year.

Sadly not, I've only been to the north of Spain. I walked the Camino Frances in 2005 from Le Puy in France to Santiago de Compostela. I would imagine Andalucia to be very different from the regions I walked through.

Bellerin is homegrown, isn't he?

If he's up for a back up role (now that we have Tomi, he can play that role) I would be happy for him to come back into the squad.

If he isn't and want's to leave, I hope we bring him back in some way when he retires...good Arsenal man, is our Hector.

No. Get money and move him on. Seen enough. Don’t get the hots for him again just off some stupid interview.

Tomiyasu, Chambers, Holding, White and Cedric can all play much better at RB than Bellerin. We have no use for him and he really isn't PL quality.

Surprise surprise Hector has something to say..

Look I'm not playing what he said down BUT its been said before and it now seems like the hipsters want to go on about it and make there 'outrage' known.

All wars are bad but certain aspects make Ukraine/Russia a bit different, Israel/Palestine conflict started long before Hector or even his parents were born being one.

Wish he would have more to say on the pitch, and it's amazing how people like him with no education or life experience are always there to give lectures on things they have no clue about

To be fair I'm not questioning his knowledge on the subject just how its delivered, its the same as every other hipster who didnt exactly say much before hand but when something mainstream happens they feel the need to counter with arguments like this.

Just find it a bit distasteful when they treat things like Israel/Palestine as niche instead of having a true interest in it.

No life experience? No education? Think thats abit harsh to say he has none of that. He clearly is an intelligent person.

And I don't see him lecturing people like he knows more than others. Maybe he has read up on things more than others. He's basically asking questions that many people may have never asked themselves or through ignorance have deemed not relevant or important.

You probably aren't a politician but you have a view on what is wrong with the country.

You aren't a football manager but probably shout at your TV screen when you deem Artetas decision bad.

We are all guilty of having views/opinions on things we aren't specialised in. Doesn't mean we shouldn't have them.

Interesting to see Bellerin on the opposite side of mainstream regarding a topic. Takes guts, and shows he is not in for it only for PR.

Also what has been interesting to see overall regarding this, is that many liberal people now seem to think that it's okay to be racist towards some groups like Russians. It's funny (not really) how the principles change according to the situation and what fits own views.

Reminds me of the issue we've had with Özil and his view on China. Not gonna debate what the media says, just as I don't care what both of them are saying (it's not even a place for this), but I will say that they are/were both paid by Arsenal, I don't believe the club wants to get involved there.

We can have them, but I don't go on social media with my opinions, especially when it could have an impact on the business that is paying me.

I don't think Hector's views will have any impact on Arsenal or Betis. He wants to express his opinion that's fine. We have seen many sports people speak out about Covid/vaccinations/wars/gender/racism/see etc. I don't think many have caused issues.
