Would be a great Ramsey replacement.

First of all I love Mexican players!

Second, he is very Banega-like in that he seems to have a complete skillset for a midfielder. So he probably suits Emery's style. He is also a specialist for a 2-man-midfield (we've never player a midfield 3, despite having tried three, four different formations.)

Third his long passing is Xhaka-esque, we could use him as competition to Xhaka.

What happens is we lose a very attacking-minded midfielder in Ramsey, which we don't need as we have Özil and Mkhitaryan, but do we really need another CM when we have Xhaka, Torreira, Guendouzi, Elneny and AMN? That is the question. Unless of course he is considered a clear upgrade on Xhaka, which I'm very unsure of; I think it would be a stretch to say that.

Im guessing thats where the Miguel Almiron links come from. Based on what people are saying, he can play on either wing, through the middle or as a false 9. Herrera then provides the midfield dept

He is not really an upgrade on Xhaka as far as I know and more comparable to Torreira. I don't see the need for him personally.
