Mr. Agreeable
It makes sense if he wants to stay at Arsenal and doesn't have a better offer from elsewhere.
And the way he is playing now, how likely is he to not have offers? He's more likely to try his luck with the clause and if that doesn't pan out he can always accept an offer more in line with his current wage. Win win for him..

Blows far too hot and cold for me. Would sell if we get a reasonable offer.

When he’s off form he gets the most basic of things wrong, it’s incredible.

but Holding’s hair transplant was painless
Attacking player, playing for the team struggling to win the midfield battle, has a bad game SHOCKER. Yesterday highlighted the importance of Xhaka bringing our attackers into the game.

Good players don't blow so cold and so hot. He has talent, no doubt, but he isn't a good player. Far too inconsistent to qualify there...

He's hugely inconsistent. I don't think that being in and out of the team is helpful though.

You're wrong, no?

We didn't have attackers yesterday, which would mean the result wouldn't change a lot with Xhaka on the pitch.

Actually it probably would have been THE difference. We struggled to move the ball quickly in the transition and Xhaka has been a key player in that regard this season.
Move the ball where? You have no runners or wide players who can take people on. We would only move the ball faster sideways and backwards.
Iwobi and Auba are flawed players, but we need at least one of them on the pitch to provide that danger, preferably both.
