There is this advert that has suddenely come on my desktop and has appeared over my desktop picture and i can't get it off. It's an advert with a direct link to it's website and it seems it was made in HTML format. It doesn't work if i simply change the desktop pic because it still won't remove the advert, can anyone help me??

Also alot of porn keeps popping up on my computer when i'm on the internet, how can i get rid of it for good?!?

Get Adaware or Spybot Search and Destroy (both free) as quick as possible.

As far as porn popups are concerned - Microsoft XP Service Pack 2 has a pop up blocker for Internet Explorer which works ok and would get rid of this. If not, get Mozilla Firebird or Firefox (free) which has a perfect pop-up blocker.

But basically you've been infected with a malicious hijacker piece of software which the anti-spyware packages would eradicate.
