The White Pelè
Human Highlight Reel
Lol sorry! Posted a clip of Real as well.
Should’ve signed this baller while we had the chance. Cheaper and better than Aouar
He had a decent first half, far from his best though. They are both attacking midfielders, Kulusevski can play at 8, 10 as well as RW/RM just like Aouar on the opposite side. Kulusevski got more goals, assists and key passes in him compared to Aouar though. That’s the only thing he did all game lol. He also plays a completely different position to Aouar. He’s basically replaced Bernadeschi, who will either be sold or used as a wing back by Pirlo.

Sure they operate in different ways when they’re used in different roles but if we compare them in the attacking midfielder role (we’re signing Aouar to use him higher up the pitch let’s face it) then Kulu is the better player for the same reasons you mentioned.I agree they can play similar positions but they operate in very different ways. Kulusevski is more direct and a better final third player while Aouar is more influential in build up and a better playmaker. Difficult to compare them using goals and assists.
Both superb talents for their age though. If rumours are true that Puig is unwanted by Koeman, we should be all over that too
The two 8s in a Pep/Arteta style 433 play very high up the pitch just like an AM in a 4231, it’s pretty much the same thing except that they move less horizontally and stick to the left/right half space. That’s why they use the fullbacks in midfield instead of on the touch line. That’s also why having wingers that are comfortable on the touch line is so important in that system. If it’s to play further forward in a 4231 I agree. I was of the impression Aouar was pursued as a 3rd midfielder in a 433. Kinda moot though.. deal is looking ever less likely
