Yeah, I said this a few pages back. The rumours Brentford were happy to let him leave were weird and just simply not true as a considerable chunk of their frontline goes to AFCON.

Summer, we can talk.

Loan would allow us to make a big move in the summer. Of course the loan would include a mandatory option, like we've seen with Raya.

Probably the best and most realistic January signing we could make, so I would be happy with this.

Don't really see why Brentford would agree to that. Chelsea would probably offer a big fee and someone else will next summer.

They'd likely have their eye on someone like Nketiah or even Nelson in return.

The fact that Brentford agreed on the Raya loan is a good sign, the relations are good between the clubs.

One of the Chelsea journos said that Toney divides opinion in their hierarchy and they also have some FFP issues. Not to mention, they don’t want to pay players more than £150k a week which we could easily top.

I suppose. Then there's the problem of having having to buy Raya and then there'd be little to no money for a midfielder or a defender, which I imagine is more of a priority than signing Toney.

He said Raya will be made permanent. We’d probably sell Eddie and maybe someone else to fund that.
Makes sense. Even though we aren't paying for toney, we'd still be paying 30m for raya which Brentford might be happy with.
