Joined us as a coach in the summer of 2022 I think, then we had 2 seasons very close to the title out of nowhere after finishing 8th and 5th.

Feel he has been carrying Arteta behind the scenes, lets see how Mikel does without him...3 reds in just 8 games shows the players are clearly emotional/devastated to be losing Jack.

Really crazy decade ago he was still most exciting English player now at 32 he already coaching. Injures took him away

Interesting move. Wonder how much actual impact he'll be able to make at Norwich.

Can he come back as the assistant coach once Albert eventually leaves? Time will tell.

Why is this even in the news. Ffs...

No way the kid is whining about coach leaving. Otherwise he will never be ready foe the high turnover in management at top clubs.
It's probably his family rather than him. Reading the article, it appears Wilshere had made good with the parents and families so I'd imagine much of the disappointment is coming from them as well as the players themselves. The players will likely get over it, including Dowman. Adam Birchall will probably replace Wilshere.

Agree people will get over it.

Still such a weird story to post about a 14 year old.

It was tackling hard and being tackled harder that cut short his career. I get the sentiment but I never thought he was that bright when he said this. That's why his foray into coaching surprised me. I think he's a bit more cerebral now.
I mean, the Arsenal team at the time was extremely soft, so I can see why he wanted to be that heart and soul player who adds a bit of passion and physicality. His only problem was that he didn't have the body for it.

Fair enough. As I said, he wasn't very bright. I wish him well at Norwich.

As expected, Adam Birchall is the new U18s manager. Seems the most obvious choice, been pretty successful as u16 manager and has worked with the current U18 team already.
