Jakub Kiwior: Major Ki Alert

Has played really well over the last few games other than a couple of moments deserves the praise he is getting.

If he wants to stay it would save having to buy a backup CB but you can't blame him if he wants to be a regular starter somewhere else.

Should really be demanded no less than 25-30m.

The unfortunate truth is I don't think he's great at coming in cold. But once settled starting games he's much more comfortable. Probably not ideal as a backup but could be a really good starter somewhere. It's probably fair to let him go start somewhere but really should be for a decent fee. And ideally with a medal to his name.

He’s a victim of Arteta not being a rotator. This will be the same issue with whoever we replace him with. He will be sold and a more expensive replacement will come in just to ride the bench

Fair play to him again very happy for him to. but still think we might go with Calafiori against PSG and Saliba.

Cb is a position that you don't rotate much

Nobody is great at coming in cold. This is where Arteta really needs to use his squad much better. And he has improved quite a bit in that aspect. Now that Kiwior has proven himself since he was previously not given any fair chance of a run at CB and always played out of position at LB, I suspect we might want to keep him and don't waste money buying another defender this summer.

Some of his ball playing skills is even better than Gabriel and that's saying a lot. Was really an amazing performance from him last night

He has really stepped up when we needed him. Hope he keeps this up. I don't know why but can't shake this feeling he could drop a calamitous performance any time. No indication at all that this is about to happen so I hope that I'm just wrong. Come on Jakub, fire us to Champions League glory.

Would I be wrong in thinking most of his poorer performances have come when on the right side in place of Saliba?

Probably one of the under appreciated aspects of the backup CB is being expected to cover both sides to an equal level.

I'll be amazed if he hangs around next season. For the sake of his career he needs to be playing regularly, he's too good to be sitting on the bench getting poverty minutes.

He could easily play for most clubs in Europe. Left footed CBs are also in demand.

Arsenal Quotes

When we won the title on May 3-rd by beating Everton 4-0 as Tony Adams scored that iconic goal, we showed everyone and especially Manchester United that we could beat them. Thirteen days later, when we beat Newcastle 2-0 in the FA Cup final in the legendary Wembley Stadium, it was wonderful... I felt immensely proud for the team, for the club: this was the fantastic response I was able to give to those who had put their confidence in me, as well as those who had put me through all those difficult weeks when I first arrived.
