Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆
😂 we have one of the best 6’s in world football as well as the best recovery defender in world football + a brilliant defensive RB who is probably the best at what he does. Feel like all of this overkill imo.

If one player loses the ball then there are enough bodies to get back anyways and cut off space.
Arteta want his striker to win duels buddy the guy is freak. Imagine we buy osimhen too other teams will be lucky having 5 shots a game against us

Also, why would Konsa come here as obvious second choice when Saliba gets fit?

Because he's 28 and if he wants to ever possibly win something bigger than the Europa League before he retires this could be his only chance?

He isn’t a RB though, is he? He’s a CB who can do a job at RB. And we’re not talking about Maldini here.
I know matey, but we all know Teta has a hard on for deploying CBs at FB, so with that in mind, I would prefer Quansah, as he is better at FB than Konsa.

Yeah but really he doesn’t overlap he’s just a very attacking fullback in a different sense.

I’m talking about someone with pace and willing to go on the outside of the opposition fullback, closer to the touchline. Would be nice to see because then the winger in that wing can actually tuck in and get closer to the box rather than having to hug the touchline.

Calafiori is definitely not just a standard CB playing fullback but he’s also not an electric overlapping FB with pace.

Think the tactic is clear that CBs defend better than FBs and they attack set pieces better than FBs and if you get ball playing ones they can be good on the front foot

Do you think he keeps his place in the England team if he’s 3rd choice here?

Quansah is decent but he's not near the level Konsa has been the past few seasons.

We need an experienced, proven PL CB, that adds leadership, that will have immediate impact whilst Saliba is injured.

Long term Quansah may prove to a have a higher celling than Konsa. However, I'm not looking long term, I want to go back to back PL champions. Konsa makes more sense for immediate success which is what we should be looking to achieve.

We already have two promising young RCB's in Mosquera and Salmon, we don't need a third.

Would he rather keep his place in the England team and likely retire without winning a major trophy or fall down the pecking order for England but potentially win a PL/CL before he retires? Not sure.

Winning the CL by barely playing wouldn’t be an accomplishment

Get him in and stop waisting time for defenders and midfielders.

We need a starting LW and CF. Plus we need to get rid of Gyo, Jesus, Martinelli, Vieira, Nelson, Zubi, ...

Maybe to you it wouldn't but somebody with a medal around their neck could probably feel different. We have no real idea about Saliba's injury and what recovery will look like either. If we sign Konsa it's very possible he starts for several months in the PL and plays all of our CL group stage games. His ability to moonlight as RB would also increase his opportunities. You're making it sound like he'd come and start our first 3 games and then not get a kick for the rest of the season which I don't think is the case at all.

The defence and Rice won us the league.

Must admit I don’t care about the defensive signing.

I just know we need another one, and can see the pros and cons for both Quansah and Konsa (say that five times fast).

The club know what they’re doing back there.

If the reported price is true (£43m) then it’s very good business. If we can bring in Osimhen alongside then this will have been a good window

Agreed. I think it’s a window that would maintain us as PL front runners. Still need that added quality out wide though for Europe.

But to put ourselves in position for another league title, can’t complain.

It all rests on which (if any) forward we bring in.

How is it a Berta signing when were getting a premier league experienced, England international center back that can do a job as a fullback named Quansah, since we are being priced out of our first choice premier league experienced, England international center back that can do a job as a fullback named Konsa?

A profile that's being targeted because our other Premier league experienced, England international center back that can do a pretty good job as a fullback named Ben White has fitness issues and our starting now premier league experienced, Dutch international center back who can do a job as a fullback is also currently out long term.
