What can we actually do in January that will move the needle in attack?
Move the needle no one. But you can still sign players like Kolo Muani on loan, add young cheap winger with big potential like bazoumana toure.

Gyökeres in January sounds very unlikely. Actually think he will go to PSG in the summer.
That might well be the case. The January window is rather difficult, but he is probably a player that would have moved the needle, perhaps more so than Isak, who is a player I rate.

Teams crying out for an elite attacking player, preferably Striker…

Arteta - “ but I can spend that budget on CBs, Fullbacks, Keepers and DMs. “

He doesn't fit PSG's new model. They're going for younger players and trying to emulate Bayern by using their financial muscle to poach the best domestic talent.

Winger should be the priority. People dont want to hear it but it will be very difficult to get a CF who will actually out perform Havertz in this system. Almost impossible in January imo
Exactly. It's easier to go after someone like Semenyo; who would be a clear upgrade on Martinelli and Trossard and slot into the system seamlessly than to pursue a more traditonal CF who we don't have time to adapt to playing through.

I want an elite winger, not merely a good one. I’d rather wait till summer if Semenyo is where we’re at. Guess it depends on how much ground we can claw back by January.

I get that. It would only make sense if we're within a couple of points and it warrants going all in. I wouldn't want it to come at the expense of a Kvara or Williams level player.

And if we can’t get one in the summer so we really wanna sign someone in the summer to block elite winger in the future? I said before. But I would legit sign bazoumana toure in January and just keep the kid with the first team. He’s not gonna block you signing that winger people think we will get and he may just be an elite talent that saves us a lot of money

That's probably the most obtainable suggestion yet in terms of a January signing.

The problem with January is generally clubs don't want sell mid season unless they want rid of a player, while a lot of players don't push to leave unless they are having issues with the club. It makes for not a good combination.

However, if you can find a highly regarded player, from a lesser club / lesser league, both might be more willing to listen to good offers. Especially if a club is in a league that isn't actually mid season, it's that clubs close season.

Not going to pretend I know too much about the kid, but if he is a good talent like is suggested, and the clubs that are interested in him suggests he has something about him, then it's not a bad January shout, and like you say, keeps powder dry for the summer.

If psg want to get rid then Muani on loan seems sensible, can play on both wings or upfront - quick, tall. Could be an Odeegard type signing. (not wanted by a "super" club)

I mean I guess maybe he could do a job as an option on loan but Ødegaard is a World Class talent and this guy is probably a squad player at a club with our ambitions.

Some people were saying Ødegaard would be a squad player for us when we signed him on loan...

I think Muani is 100% worth a look on loan and if he gels with Arteta he could be very good for us.

People who said that were just rooting for ESR at the time though.

Ødegaard was a known prodigy which is a different kettle of fish, Muani I really don't know that much about other than his miss at the WC final and not doing so hot at PSG.
