Yes, followed Lindstrøm since he was a youngster at Brøndby. Love the guy.

Godmorgen nabo.
I’ve gotten the feeling he is a Vieira more than a Saka if you know what I mean? A inverted playmaker winger anno 2008 more than a wide forward. Am I correct in that?

Instant pass. Georgian plumber, Leao and Diaby all more exciting.

Leao at least is on a different planet compared to Lindstrøm. I don't really understand these links to him, not close to the quality you'd need to get to where you want to go.

Decent player with room to improve but nowhere near PL title contention quality. Also doesn't seem like a fit for the system Arteta plays. He's like a worse version of Martinelli.

Also no offence to your people but Danish is such a boring nationality to be signing up.

A Norwegian or Swede would be more exciting ngl.

Well, I’m not a tactician, but I can say that he’s an enthusiastic player that will go past his man by use of his technical ability and speed. He has a decent pass as well. Is he better than Martinelli? Probably not, but I’m pretty confident that he can develop and adapt. He’s done that as well. He’s played as an 8 and 10 at Brøndby, but I don’t think he’s done that at Frankfurt at all. He’s probably too much of a runner and not enough of a passer in those positions if you ask Arteta.

Let's be real, we do kind of produce the most bland as **** footballers in terms of personality. Quality aside.

Except for Bendtner, but I'm not sure Rex is advocating for signing that type of personality again

Agreed, I completely misread the post. Danish footballers seem to have no personality. Dolberg being the worst of them all.

Don’t think Lindstrøm is boring though.

Even your technical midfield genius looked like an accountant and played for Sp**s.

Lord Bendtner aside it’s been tough

Decent peaks though. Schmeichel was quite the character. Our greatest ever player Michael Laudrup though has the personality of a cardboard box.

Too young for Laudrup tbf but he was a baller going by his FIFA card.

As for Schmeichel I only remember him playing for City

Have to mention Thomas Gravesen and especially Preben Elkjær is a legend in all ways.

''On one famous occasion, whilst playing in Germany for FC Köln, reports reached the disciplinarian club coach, Hennes Weisweiler, that Elkjær had been in a nightclub enjoying with a bottle of whiskey and a female companion before a big game.
When challenged, the player angrily rebuffed the allegation, insisting it was vodka not whiskey, and that there were two women, not one.''
- The little big man and the big little man – Preben Elkjær and Michael Laudrup.

''Such fines became the norm in the first few years; an anecdote in the book Landsholdet suggested that, on one occasion, Elkjaer pulled out two 500-kroner bills and paid his up front because he knew he'd be late.''
( the money received for fines where used to buy gifts to the players on special occasions )
''When Elkjaer turned 27 in 1984, he received a copy of Ugens Rapport, the porn magazine in which he had a column, a packet of cigarettes and a lighter.''
(...)
''Piontek asked for help so that he could show the players a video of the Romanians' free-kicks. Elkjaer came to his rescue and sat down.
As Piontek started to address the room, everyone burst out laughing; Piontek was about to admonish the team when he turned round to see a porn movie on the screen.''
- Danish Dynamite: the Story of Football's Greatest Cult Team – extract

And football wise a class player, who scored the iconic goal against Juventus with just one boot on as the other was tackled off him in the sprint towards goal.

I want a modern day Elkjær...

Good point, Elkjær is probably the closest we've had to your typical flamboyant class forward a la Zlatan. Amazing player in his day.

While we're bigging up Danes, I want to big up my personal favourite being a Rangers fan, the other Laudrup brother, simply known as God 11 up here.

Brian was always my favorite. Watched a fair bit of Rangers football when he was there. That was a lovely team.

Won’t ever forget Negri either, but that’s another story. That guy was a machine for about a season or something 😅
