Should have known better than going into debate with all the haters and get incredible amount of death threats because 98% just hated the youngster. Should have just let Willock speak for him self and win everyone over like he has been doing lately!

Hope it is a learning lesson for most that its alright to have a little faith in these talents and having a hope they can make it. Still a long way for Willock and there are also more talents coming through that will need our backing. But there is a value in it! Both in selling them later on or getting them to contribute to the first team!

If we don't give this caliber of player a full and honest chance, then we deserve to be poached and have no right to complain if it does happen.

I fully board the Willock hype train.

Willock appears to be what some fans lied to themselves about Ramsey & Diaby being ( he's already already a far more complete player than them dossers).

The only concern you have with someone like Willock is lack of experience. But watching him play, you can tell there is still another level he can reach. He has the physical and technical attributes to become a well rounded midfielder. Hopefully people don't turn on him when he has some bad games or misplaces some passes lol.

Yea people were incredibly low on Joe and criticized him too harshly.

Most didn't realize he had that growth spurt which made him have to change his game a bit.

Adjusting to his new size with one leg being longer than the other.

You could tell he still had talent, but he moved like a baby giraffe out there.

Another thing is his game is not flashy or explosive, so it is easy for fair weather fans who don't understand the intricacies of football to write him off. I think his best attributes are the intangibles.

His mentality, competitiveness and composure even when things aren't going well.

Don't worry about experience too much, it's highly overrated. It is useful but second to ability. Willock will make some mistakes, but if we play him he'll do well and grow into a top player. I do indeed hope he'll get the support if he does have some bad games.

A British Ramsey with a bit more speed maybe? Abou was a lot more powerful, 4 inches taller and from the looks of it, a better dribbler imo. Unplayable on his day.

Diaby was def not 4 inches taller. Joe is like 6'1 and Diaby is 6'3.

I think Joe can get more powerful as he fills out his frame.

Hopefully he takes that aspect seriously cause it can make a huge difference. I do agree that Diaby was the more talented dribbler.

He would just glide past challenges on his day, very fun to watch. Joe is the better passer too.

Better touch and dribbling than Ramsey. The way he eats up the ground is very Diaby like. Willock still has time to develop physically too- guy can be a monster in the middle for us.

Defo 6'1. Wiki is inaccurate. They also said Holding was 5'11 . Diaby was 6'2 so only an inch taller.
Diaby is 6’4 according to Uefa. There’s no way he’s only an inch shorter than Diaby. He’s probably around 5’11-6’0
