What's preferable: Evans now or someone like Diallo in the summer? In other words: Prem or Sven?

I just read Sven has told us to go all out for Weigl in the summer. Can't be true but still, Sven Knows Best.

That'd be phenomenal but surely Dortmund aren't very keen on negotiating with us especially after this PEA debacle.

Heard we're after Jorginho too. Guess Jorginho is a cheaper option. Wonder what all this means regarding Xhaka?? I know Elneny is probably leaving this summer

Probably has nothing to do with Xhaka. It's clear we need another quality midfielder in addition to him. While we have AMN, Willock, and Dasilva coming through (and the first listed is clearly the one more ready to contribute to the first team), we still need another midfielder, particularly one who is ready now. Personally, I'm hoping we get Fabinho. Although, there has also been talk of Jorginho, as you mentioned, and Weigl from Dortmund. Others on here want Ndidi. If we were to go for Ndidi, then I'd rather go for Ndombele at Lyon. Not only would he be cheaper, but he's much better on the ball and does the same things Ndidi does (he's also only on loan from Amiens and probably would be super cheap to buy from them depending on what their deal is with Lyon).

Ndombele is class, but the thing is he's not really a DM in the same way Fabinho, Jorginho, Weigl, Ndidi are (though they have their own styles). They all mostly sit deep, but Ndombele is very much a dribbler who will push the ball forward. He can tackle too, but he's not a specialist DM. That's not to say he couldn't be paired with someone who can also do defensive duties.

The main problem though is that we wouldn't be buying from Amiens, it'd be from Lyon. He's on loan there now and then Lyon will buy for 10m euro in the summer. So he wouldn't be super cheap, he could actually be super expensive.

Weigl is top,top player already, this would be huge, especially as we have a big whole in midfield, if we could pull this and get rid of Xhaka, wow

Weigl is an very similar player to Xhaka, mainly a playmaker while still being decent defensively. I'd like him here but he's not what we need.
