Jorginho: Gorgeous Jorg

It is in today's game.

Kyle Walker just turned 34 and he's the oldest regular starter on a big 6 club.

Very few guys past age 31 or 32 are currently still able to perform as regular starters with big clubs, especially in the PL with the level of pace required relative to Italy or whatever.

(and I thought Jorginho did very well last weekend, for the record)

The game has shifted *a lot* younger over the past 10 or 20 years.
That’s not true, all the top teams have regular starters in their 30s. If anything players last longer in todays game.

Maybe

You're wrong, no?
Oh boy, this guy is so done. This was a good lesson yesterday not to trust him as the last man on our corner kicks

He is, and he's smart. But dear Lord, he's lacking speed and athletic ability so much.
Sure but as you say he is one of the most intelligent players.

Loads of top players didn't have pace & weren't athletes.
Jorgi is a very good squad player.

The only major issue is if you leave him as last man (which you shouldn't) you are gonna get exposed.

Definitely a top pro to have around.

Tbh I looked over to see some guy getting pasted for pace by some plumber and when I saw Jorginho on the shirt I was like oh fvck even I'm quicker than this guy. Lucky he's so good on the ball because in those sorts of situations he's horrible.

Jorginho may not have played in a while...

...least we now know his time is being spent very constructively!

Him getting subbed on and immediately dropping Bruno in revenge for the elbow on him last season, was the only good thing today.

Still our best allround and most likable CM, imo.

If he was younger and more robust/athletic, he would be so good in this set-up

He's an elite passer from deep, and unlike Partey he's better defensively (feel he's very underrated on that side of the game) very sneaky of the ball, knows the little dark arts in that role very well.

Not surprised our best football last season was when he came into the team, shame we got him when he's aging.

when he was younger his price was too expensive for our finance department team, I am surprised Chelsea lets him go cheap

The only player who made a good through pass to White yesterday in 90th minute.
And White lost the ball immediately.
