José Mourinho: See Mou Later

You got to feel for Jose here...always won a trophy wherever he has managed. The man to break Sp**s' duck...and they fire him before the final. It is rough justice.
They were going to lose that final in typical, embarrassing, Spursy fashion. A manager whose parlour trick was setting up like Stoke with City's budget was always going to be found out at a poverty club with losing in their DNA and actual financial limits. He's not the kind of manager to elevate a stale project and what's more stale than 60 odd years of irrelevance?

Wait a minute Ryan Mason is f**king 29 years old  and they handing him a job and will have a manage the most important game in Sp**s season. this is criminal from Levy.
3.5 billion reasons he doesn't care. Why do you think Arteta is still here?

Arteta In by November

I know he'll get paid but still loving this. Every club is sacking him and he's just becoming worse and worse. No cheque book no success in epl for Jose. Wonder how he'll defend this now after the **** he has spoken about Wenger.

I guess next step would be Crystal Palace or QPR? West Ham reveling in the heady days of Moyes Fever. Give it some years and he'll be strutting his stuff at Brisbane Road.

Carabao final and sat 7th in the table, lots on this forum would take this from Arteta and label that a small win. At what point do we start looking squarely at Arteta? Our rivals have gone ahead and moved on from positions not as dire as ours.
Arteta won an FA Cup already and is in the semi final of the EL. He’s doing better than Jose.

Had less spending too.

Despite the FA Cup anomaly:

Arteta 78 matches - 42W, 15D, 21L
Mourinho 86 matches - 44W, 19D, 23L

Literally the same manager.

Jose took over a more settled team and had more spending. It’s two different jobs, Jose also stopped using Dele which you can’t really do.

Arteta is rebuilding, and he’ll get sacked next season anyway if his league form doesn’t improve.

Jose was hired to kick on, Arteta was hired to start a new team.

Arteta is doing better than Jose despite being in a tougher job. If anything, the comparison to Jose isn’t a bad look on Arteta, it’s a good look.

Arteta has a cup and is in the semi of the EL. Jose and Sp**s can only dream of that.

Jose took on a team that was in the CL final a year before and is now languishing in 7th, Mikel took on a team that was in the EL final a year before and is now languishing in 10th. Similar reversion to the mean. Jose spent 130m and Mikel spent 82m. There's a difference in spend, but let's not pretend this wasn't a settled squad either. Arteta came here and decided to blow it up for his "culture shift."

At the end of the day, the results matter. Chelsea made a move and are in the CL semis now and a favorite for top four.

You're hugging the Jose reference but my initial post said "rivals." What about Chelsea? Frank and Mikel were eerily similar in results before his sacking.
