It's complicated. There's widespread corruption in all institutional levels in the country, hard to think football is an exception. Politics and shady business dealings of club chairmen have a huge impact on the league.Not sure how he's survived, he's barefaced called the league corrupt numerous times and now he's putting hands on managers
The corrupt thing seems to be an open secret kinda thing though? Heard Babel talking about it so I guess it's commonly accepted. I could imagine Arteta getting his hands chopped off for criticising them Prem in a similar manner.

That being said, "the league is fixed for Gala" line Fener trouts is iffy. I think the big clubs, especially Gala and Fener, both get preferential treatment by refs and rules are bent in favor of them because of the fear of backlash.
