Bruno is a top player but how much better is he than first half of season Zubi or MLS towards the end of the season? It’s an upgrade but not a transformative one imo and while he’ll provide the attack with more service the attackers themselves still aren’t elite.

ST or a proven top LW left wing was the easiest way to take this team up a level.

In the last two months Zubi was gone completely off the boil and Rice looked dead on his feet. MLS stepped up and really shone but think Bruno will be transformative over a season - if Mikel will actually rotate a little more.

It's only two seasons ago we hit 91 goals in the league with an in-form Saka and Ødegaard pulling the strings. We didnt exactly have an elite striker then either but our game place isnt setup to utilise a single elite striker.

I would say our over-reliance on Madueke and no natural creative replacement for Ødegaard had a bigger impact on us than either Gyok or the LW last year
