So, the biggest highest profile transfer they have made is morientes who flopped even worse than at madrid. And every player that becomes semi-decent wants to leave, except gerrard who they received death threats while on the verge of going to chavscum.

Dont you love it. And no need to sympathize for them since they live in lalaland where pigs operate planes and inbred plonkers are worldclass.

Fairly classy by someone I've never really liked.

League is very weak
To be fair, Theo proved a lot of people wrong, mainly his own fans.

Nice from Hansen though, I agree.

Yeah you're not wrong, Chris Waddle had an infamous Theo rant. A few pundits questioned his 'poor final delivery' and a few fans named him lolcott.

He's been a relatively late bloomer but he's matured into a devastating player, a lot of credit goes to Arsène for that IMO.

llori, aspas, luis alberto, borini- that's 30m down the drain that probably won't see much in liverpool shirt.

what's better, alexis cost less than that.

as for owen,

To be fair, Roma are a good team.

But even with Suarez, Liverpool only beat us one time out of three last season. Now, without him, and having to play in 4 competitions (well, only 2 from Christmas onward, and maybe only the League after January), they could be a train wreck waiting to happen.

I swear every article I come across about Liverpool's strike force makes mention of how he only chose us because he chose London over Liverpool. Is there seriously one shred of proof that that was the case? Or are they just desperately holding onto that in an effort to manage the pain?

I think liverpool have done really good business, they are genuine contenders.....it is hard to predict who will miss out making the top four.

Man city and chelsea have taken the two spots for me.........
...last two years manu and liverpool have made it easy for us by not making it to top four.

I think this season will be very unpredictable........any team can win the title among these five.........and any of the three(manu, liverpool and us)
might not make it to champions league....

Great business replacing Suarez with top players such as:
Lambert: 10 league goals (excluding penalties)
Markovic: 5 goals
Lallana: 9 goals

Gerrard:
'We've lost a world class player in Luis Suarez. There's no getting away from that as I'm his biggest fan but hopefully four or five additions can help soften that blow.'

It's a battle for 6th for us again, 1 step forwards, 2 steps back.

You guys will be right up there again, however, the unknown factors such as (a) competing in the CL and its effect on your league performances & (b) how will your new boys settle in at their new club will go a long way in determining your push for a top 4 spot.

Wouldn't it be a real shame if Utd. missed out again....;)

"When they tell you Liverpool want to sign you, I think like any player, you are going to be absolutely amazed and you don't think of anything else than going straight there,"

Seems as if Manquillo has already has already been infected by the Scouse.

'Like any player' Like any player sat on the bench at Atletico Madrid. Or, maybe only those that will be going straight into their first team over Glen Johnson!

I'm surprised Rogers doesnt refer to himself in the third person. Brendan Rohers knows who Brendan Rogers wants.

 Oh I'm sure he does every morning in front of the mirror, so he can see himself talking about himself in the third person.
