I don't know...he doesn't look the brightest of people, bet you he thinks Oscar is Asian and is having a go at him, the ****ing idiot.
Maybe he's like one of those Arsenal fans on this website who keeps banging on at how much he hates Xhaka or Mustafi or Özil or Medley and thought he'd get a sly dig in at Firmino while nobody was watching.

To think people on here have been rooting for this club for the past 2 seasons as if they were the moral choice.:rofl::rofl:

This is Liverpool football club rotten to the core, just like their fans, just like the manager.

Disgusting. The government shouldn't have had this scheme anyway, everyone should have some emergency money built up, why should our taxes pay for people who don't have the sense to save some money for any crisis? Let them starve.

Classless club, they always like to pretend they are victims. Expect to hear some "rise from Corona and upset all the odds to make Liverpool win the league bullshit" when they win it officially.

For those not familiar with the UK legislation and are not sure how Liverpool are abusing the system here.

The UK have introduced a very generous scheme during Covid-19 lockdown to pay 80% of the salary of workers wages who are unable to work, this is a scheme funded from tax payers of the UK. This was primarily designed to support small struggling businesses such as family restaurants who won't be able pay their staff in the current situation.

Liverpool are taking advantage of this by allowing the UK tax payers to pay the wages owed to their staff (80%), and then they are going to pay the 20% left over so that the staff are paid in full in avoidance of paying their salary wholly.

Essentially they are taking advantage of the current situation so they don't have to pay their staff properly despite their massive revenues.

Liverpool CEO Peter Moore Oct '19: "We had this historical figure, Bill Shankly, a Scottish socialist. Today when we speak about business questions, we ask ourselves: 'what would Shankly do?'

Large companies like Bláa lónið(blue lagoon) who paid themselves 12 billion ISK in dividends not long ago are also doing this here in Iceland.

If people don't see through the capitalists and the neoliberalists after this where the profits is privatized but the loss is nationalized. Then nothing will do...

In fact when this is over, we will see just more of the same! People on minimum wages struggling to pay the rent while the richer get richer and we keep making stuff that last just for one year and people keep buying it even if they don't need it and the planet get weaker and weaker until there is no coming back. Lovely stuff.

Agree. I think professional football players shouldn't complain in these difficult times. Also betting is paused at the moment. It's the poor people who lose their job these days that really struggle. The worst thing is that we still can't tell when all this miserable situation will be over.
