Back in training, it seems, good to know. Looks like it's just ball work and not full training yet.

Has any player ever done his ACL in August and came back the same season?

I think I remember Djibril Cisse breaking his leg and returning the same season. Not sure if anyone has done their ACL and returned.
Not football, but the American kind. Jerry Rice (greatest wide receiver of all time) did his acl in a September game, and was back in late December. Didn't work out well, innocuous tackle caused him to break a knee cap despite the ligaments being fixed. But yeah, it's possible for the acl to be repaired that fast with an elite athlete who puts everything into rehab.

I’m so glad you’ve told me this. I finally get a reference from Bobby Shmurda on his song Bobby B*tch.

Rehab period is 9 months & he did it beginning of season in May ? I think, so makes sense that he's returning imminently.

His injury occurred on matchday 1 so a six month turnaround is phenomenal.
Ah yes, for some reason I was counting back from May 🤦🏼

ACL injuries are measured in degrees of seriousness, with full rupture being worst & is a 9 month rehab (I know this cos I've done it !) His may have been a less worse injury I guess ?

Even so, incredible effort 💪

Depay’s ACL recovery was incredibly quick if I remember correctly.

So happy to see Timber on the pitch again!

Edit: 199 days according to Transfermarkt.

He was lucky that he only tore the ACL, if it was other ligaments and/or meniscus it would have been alot longer.

Well done to him for recovering so quickly. Obviously rehabed really hard.

I do worry about players coming back so quickly from these sort of injuries doing it again, or becoming very niggle prone.

I'd be very careful with him this season. As long as he's back 100% for next season I'll be happy.

Arsenal Quotes

I think without doubt that Bergkamp is the most talented player to have played for Arsenal in the past 30 years, for as long as I can remember
