Jurrien Timber: Lumberjacked

I thought being a right footer playing on the left let him down at times which is only natural, even with that handicap he was still very very good.

We are spoiled. I’d love to see him get some minutes on the right where he’d be even more comfortable.

Gonna go against the grain and say his final ball was poor today. He constantly couldn't beat the first man with his crosses and cost us some good opportunities. That'll need to improve if he wants to make LB his own because Calafiori is in strong contention.

His aggression in duels and carries forward were excellent though, went a long way in setting the tone and getting us over the line with a depleted midfield. We're working with an interesting skillset here.

RB or CB is his best position.

Watching this was hilarious. Vicario ran up on him, got hemmed up, and instantly changed his energy. Timber’s looking like he’s about to take his lunch money.

Knew we were getting a set piece goal when I saw Timber take his manhood.

Ngl I was caught of guard when Timber just went for him like that, didn't know my man was like that

I actually don't blame Vicario for ****ting himself

Really impressive how strong and fast he looks considering he broke his ligaments one year ago. He is a Solid bloke.

Kiwior did great for our best defensive run last season. He helped to solved how every manager started to target Zinchenko's flank.
He had a few alright games, but awful on the ball and prone to a lot of errors. Wasn’t as solid defensively as made out either. Glad we got Timber and Calafiori on that left side.

You still doing them stupid nicknames a 10 year old would make? Zinchenko is miles better than Kiwior.
Sure, that's why Arteta started Kiwior over him. As for his nickname, I honestly don't know how to type his actual name anymore given how bad he is

Actually very much agree with @Aevi he got into really good positions 2/3 times and wasn’t good at all.

I expect that to improve over the season getting to know the position better. He doesn’t usually get asked to be a marauding LWB/LB so most of his possession will come centrally.

Aside from that his work defensively was excellent and he helped us get up the pitch multiple times.

Gabby my MOTM but Timber very close second.

Yeah, and then subbed off Kiwior for Zinny at half time because Sane was destroying him every opportunity.

Arteta used him sparingly after that.
