Bro I’m not sure what you’re expecting from me. I’ve praised Arteta for it previously however let’s not get it twisted, it’s not like it was a revolutionary thing that Arteta done with Xhaka as he’s played further forward for Switzerland previously. He was also a pretty good player just misused and under appreciated by our fanbase. There was a whole summer I was debating with a few on here about his influence on our team vs Partey.

Xhaka making these movements has been one of many pillars of Arsenal’s strong start to the season. Switzerland manager Murat Yakin tapping into that for this World Cup is interesting given he was using the 30-year-old as his deepest-lying midfielder as recently as this summer in the Nations League.

While he has often appeared to be freer when playing for Switzerland at major tournaments, Xhaka has often been their ‘quarterback’.

Mate, I watch every game of his. Only recently experimented in some games as an 8 for Switzerland due to how he did at Arsenal but he is primarily a 6, always was a 6 and has reverted to a 6. They haven't been performing well recently but it's not down to Xhaka, the coach is bad.

Xhaka used to play plenty of MOTM-worthy performances and he scored a lot of goals against the big sides: United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle, Sp**s, however I do maintain that this performance at the FA Cup Final was simply phenomenal.

100%. What was really impressive was he completely overshadowed Kante and Matic who were both viewed as two of the best around in the PL at the time.

Hopefully whoever we sign to replace Havertz in the near future has to have that dawg in him like Xhaka. Can’t be getting another fairy like Kai or Fabio Vieira.

He wasn't rash, he was always a step too late cause he couldn't cope with the tempo/speed. Guy was a liability at 6 where BergMan claims it's his "best" position, everytime we played out from the back and he would receive the ball opponents pressed him because he was bad. Took 5 seconds to controll the ball and his turns were as slow as an oil tanker.

He was crap as a 6 here and does well in Germany because for obvious reasons.

Agree he had one good year for us and was literally ineffective defensively in either a single double pivot if he was asked to be a holding midfielder. Still much better than 65 million for Kai
